Just love the contrast with B&W. Works so well with subjects like this. Great photo.

The graveyard and the barn are my favorites. Well done. Do you use a tripod on shots like these?

I typed into Google "Adapter Nikon F to Canon EOS" - answer in millisecs - looks like this will do the job ! But pay attention to the way the camera's functionality is affected......

Thanks I'll look into it.

Probably not. If you had stayed with Nikon there would be no problem.

If I had stayed with Nikon? I have 4 Nikons and 2 Canons. No problem :)

Is there an adapter ring I could use for my Canon 70D that would allow me to use an old film Nikon Macro 100 lens on my Canon body?

Man! I'm just happy you gave us some many well exposed photographs to choose from. As I have always been a fan of the 3/4 view, I gravitate to them.

What's the "3/4 view"?

The composition is too busy for me, but it doesn't ruin it completely for me. Typically I love bold and colorful, but in this case I prefer the muted color in the first image. I think the muted color helps to even out the cluttered frame for me. There's a lot going on here, but I like that the young girl (with those long legs) and the man on the fence show a slow down in comparison to the hustle and bustle of the rest of the image.

I bet he wishes he had more hair too :). I really like the 'dark side' portraits. I love the detail here, but what I like most are his eyes. You've really photographed his eyes perfectly. They shine and sparkle and come out in the middle of all that darkness to show the depth of the man himself.

I think it's beautifully cropped. The composition works. The colors are peaceful. It's a beautiful photograph.

[quote=Travesty]I am sharing this because I read it recently via a friend and know I fall into this category which I think is highly misunderstood..... I feel a lot of Photographers also fall into this category....

This is so me! Thing is, those within your inner circle don' see you this way. My closest friends say I'm not shy, she's an extrovert, she's a talker, she's this or that.....The rest of the world doesn't see you that way at all usually.

I don't know. When I used to work at a photography lab, I interacted with a lot of professional photographers, and many were anything but introvert. Especially those that specialized in family portraits. You can't be all too introverted if you have to commandeer a family of strangers all afternoon and keep them in good spirits throughout the shoot. You really need to be the out-going fun type to pull it off successfully.

Maybe that's why I don't do portraits.

Beautiful! I'm one that would have thrown that crate away had it been hanging around my house. Since seeing your work, I am actively looking around me for things I normally wouldn't give a second thought to using. You inspire me!

Just thought I would pass on a quick blurb about my little camera store being featured in the business section of the local paper, the largest paper in our secluded state. I wasn't impressed with the picture they used, but it was a blizzard outside so they couldn't take a shot of the store itself.
Its been a pretty slow month so far and I hope this drives a bit of Christmas business out my way. Nothing like a little free advertising!

Best wishes to you! Great article. We have a couple camera shops around here. I use the closest one (it's a fairly new store) and wouldn't think about using Best Buy again. It's a shame there aren't more around here.
