hi friends I need some help I was wondering atwhat angle should I set the lights for taking portrait of people should the light be facing the object or away from the object or person.
Well im new all the way around but sometime i might not no how or what to ask because for a person who knows little to none about takings pic or the basics of even being a photographer some of us can't pay for classes so we try to teach yourself an there nothing wrong wit that we all learn diffrent

I'm going to order 3 background and 2 umbrellas with light an light stand .also a tripod for cam and a photoshop program to start. im also good at creating a few props i have a basket nice size for babies a small wicker stand thing i want to try to us for seating .still thinking an doing my home work to find more info but like u said i will take my time an do my best to give it my all .

Thanks racerdan and everyone for the the help i have a Fiji s2950 and like Dan said YouTube had the brake down on this cam .but is the a big diffrence between taking pic of people verses flowers or animals. i realy want to take pics of people an thanks again for the support makes things a lot ez to understand
Looking for some good guidence. I'm starting out with a fuji digital cam. also working on a buget. i not sure what the different settings are good for because i have no book for the cam .also working with the buget i have also what a good but not to costly photo shop program for newbies
