They say there is no stupid question so here goes. I bought the nikkor 29-70mm 1:2.8D to use to get more light into the camera when in the low light arena. What is the best way to use this lens? Would this be called a wide lends? Even though it is heavy lens & I know its a good lens. I feel I could use this lens more than I do. Thanks EJK
What a comedy of errors I made trying to get pictures of the medeor shower. I set up in the pasture where it was dark and then a cow come up silently behind me and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I went to the road the trees were to close. I then repacked and moved to the yard. I was looking up trying to find the stars with the trypod cranked up as high as it would go.neck killing me... and then I thought I could sit down. Back to house for the chair & 500 lens. By this time the coyotes started up & sounding to close. After all this I find out there was a lot of movement with my tripod. That is the reason my pictures were not sharp even when I was useing a tripod. What would be a good one for 300.00 or less? Stayed out from 10:00 till 4:00.. I could hear someone from the hog saying set up early...I wish I had
You sound pretty informed. Have you been there and done that? I would like to be out at night by the water or some great place to take some HDR shots.

I like my art, music, my fantastic rock and mineral collection and my cameras... What more can I say? They all have to have their place. I have lived a lot of years, my life has been full. I can't stand clutter so I must find homes for my toys.
That is the way I feel. I remember the days when my boys filled the house and I Had more room them than now. My toys now fill my home.
