Pielated Woodpecker, to name one - I hear them but can't see them.
I don't know about your area, but here in Kansas the eagles in my area seem to prefer late morning or afternoon for hunting.
Find a print (screenprint) shop that has sublimation capabilities. Essentially the sublimation process fuses the dye into the fabric making it more durable.
Hosta would be my best guess
Use FB to keep up with family and keep track of bird counts at wildlife refuges. No to Twitter.
Welcome, Dave -
I am also in Kansas, the east side. I am hoping to do a weekend trip starting at Cheyenne Bottoms and ending up at Quivira. Do you have a general idea for the best time for seeing some migration birds? Should I wait until it is consistently colder, or has it started already?
If you ever make it east, Squawk Creek in Missouri north of St. Joe is a good place to go. The Snow Geese this Spring were incredible!
I vote for Time Warner as well. Their commercials should be cited for "truth in advertising" inaccuracies.
I like Red River. Google it.
Resistance is futile - enjoy! I love mine!
Nicely done! Thanks for the idea for my grandson's soccer team!
Thanks, everyone for your comments and input. After the contest was over, I went out and tried again. If I can figure out how to attach a photo to this stream, I will post it. That being said, the original shot was more difficult for me as I had no reference point to try to pre-focus and he would only hover so long while I tried to manually focus. All in all, it was a good exercise for me for manually focusing on moving objects, especially for BIF. I am still struggling with exposure issues, I shot it in RAW but was hesitant to play with it too much because the way I interpret the rules, only minor adjustments are to be made. Thanks, again, this has been a good learning opportunity for me.
