1. I wouldn't let what go into effect to test the effectivness?
2. I don't own a gun, never have and never will so I can't be a "pro easy gun ownership person).
3. I did not ask for a 100% guarantee for anything. I asked for your ideas about stopping the mass shootings.
What I got was a whole bunch of blameful rhetoric as to my faults. I'm still listening. If you have an idea or suggestion what might be done to stop the mass shootings I would be more than happy to listen.

Sometimes an outrageously satirical comment is needed to make a point. Here, try this sad irony on for size...

Some day one of these mass shooters will become a hero... because he will have tipped outrage far enough for something positive and effective to finally get done about gun laws and mass shootings.

I'm neutral. If there really is "something positive and effective" that can be done about gun laws to stop the mass shootings please tell me what it is. I'll support it in a heart beat.

Meanwhile here's something else to think about (I have no answers, just questions). The new catch phrase for the mad men that are pulling the triggers is being defined as having a mental illness. Why didn't we have that same mental illness thirty years ago? What changed? The guns or the people? What is different? The guns or our social structure?

Could it be that we're all doing too much talking and not enough listening?

The problem I see with your post is that the statement about no reason to be afraid, and your statement about "we all better run" are not mutually exclusive. Also 1 mad man, and one gun, is no reason for all of us to be afraid. It may be a reason for a few people to be very afraid. Also, not all murderers are insane, in fact very few are.

Why am I not surprised you "found a problem with my (exaggerated) post"? Probably because you find a problem with everything I (and everyone else) posts on UHH. Not to worry though, you find anything I post to be a "waste of your time" (remember that one? I do.) so I suggest you simply not read my posts and save your valuable time.

A priest would have to have a set of big ones to deny anything from the president of the United States.

Sorry....it shouldn't work that way. Whether King or pauper all sins score the same points.

When will i***ts learn that guns are not the problem, they are only a tool. The recent NY shooter who massacred all those innocent people in the grocery store should never have been able to purchase a firearm. The system and gun laws we have failed as the shooters mental evaluation was never properly reported and therefore he was able to purchase a gun.

I like many others have a gun. So far it has never shot anyone or attempted to do so. It just sits there at the ready and does nothing; just in case it’s needed.

Isn’t it about time to admit it’s not the guns that are the real problem they are simply nothing more than inert objects. It’s the hands that holds the gun and the minds that drive the hands that’s the real problem. It’s about time to admit the t***h for once and stop the lies: quit blaming guns and address and work to solve the real problem?

I applaud both you and your post. If there were 1 million guns out there and 2 million sane people there would no reason to fear being shot. If there were one gun and one mad man......we all better run.

This might be something to think about: We are the only civilized country in the world that has different laws, depending on what part of the country you're in. Multiple laws for all 50 states. That's just insane.
Please don't tell me what the founding fathers intended. They intended to keep s***ery, deny women any rights, and only have white landowners v**e, and that's just the beginning.
They may have been very smart men, but they were from a different century and a different world.
Why shouldn't we have one law for the entire country? It's the only thing that makes sense.

And just what is that "one law"? Who is to determine what that "one law" will be? What if you don't like the "one law".

Is Pelosi living in sin?

The San Francisco archbishop issued a notice Friday that he would no longer allow House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to receive Communion.

Does Jesus still love Nancy?

Call it sin if you like but it has to do with her opinion on a******n. Should e the same for Joe but he has more pull than Nancy.

I love this. As a photo, it is very appealing. The composition and colors are pleasing. The finger tips work really well because there is a story here. The glass and tool along with the finished product are part of the story. The fingers complete it!

Thank you for your insightful reply, it's always a treat when someone takes the time to let the "poster" know exactly what they like and dislike about an image. We really enjoy creating the scan art images and happy you enjoy them too.

What is the item that looks like an upholstery needle?

My compliments on the composition and the on using what appears to be barbless hooks.

Sorry, I have no idea what that item is. My son made all the lures and tied all the flies so I imagine it's some gadget he used.
Thanks for stopping by.

Really? Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with some of the programs initiated by Mayor Lightfoot, along with policies being implemented by the police department, before being so negative.

Sad how some insist on making racially motivated criticisms and others seem to enjoy supporting them.

Not being a resident of Chicago I'm not aware of Mayor Lightfoot's programs. Can you tell me please exactly what they are and any tangible results of her programs?

The hand was an accident but I kept it just for the fun of it. My son tied all the flies and made the lures.

If you figure that the word is basically commune ism

a group of people living together and sharing possessions and responsibilities

–ism is a suffix added to the end of a word to indicate that the word represents a specific practice, system, or philosophy. Often these practices, systems, or philosophies are political ideologies or artistic movements.

It's pretty self explanatory.

"c*******t" governments usually contain other elements as well, but those elements are part of their government, not part of c*******m.

c*******m, as described by Marx, has never really been done on any major level. Also, Marx pictured C*******m being tried in a first world country, like maybe Germany. No country that I know of that has tried c*******m has been a first world country. Cuba was a third world country before c*******m, and to the best of my knowledge it still is. Russia is a third world country with what until recently was believed to be a first world military.

I'm explaining it, not advocating for it.

Thank you. Your explanation certainly gave me food for thought and more importantly, gave me insight into the "how and why" of some of your thought processes.
