As an Australian I find it VERY offensive. As a nonGUNshooter I also find it VERY offensive. As a feminist and the father of 2 daughters I also find it VERY offensive. I bought a Canon 50D 3 yrs ago. I haven't even tried to do a firmware update. Should I? If it seems to work ok for me should I risk it? I must admit I have had a couple of looks on Canon's site and got thoroughly confused and gave up.
Oh my God. I'd love to be born today. Computers are amazing, my kids can do all the stuff that I feel too old or feeble to learn, To them it is just second nature. Medicine now is great. I would have died if I was born in the 30's or 40's but the replacement heart valve I got 13 yrs ago is doing just great. Got a 40yr guarantee. Oh, is it ok after we got penicillin or before? What about DDT? Oh, and the antidepressants you can get these days are great too. In fact, if my daughter had been born 20 yrs earlier than 1983 she would have been given a frontal lobotomy to cure her schizophrenia.
And have you heard of fetal alcohol syndrome?
If you ask me, whatever era you grew up in is just fine, but I prefer now.
