I have this camera and like it very much. I purchased it for it's lighter weight (from a Canon system), and for it ability for dual IS; as I have Parkinson's, and the dual IS is a help in dealing with slight tremors.

I purchased it with a kit lens (12m-32m), and also have an Olympus 40-150, and Panasonic 100-300mm II, and Rokinon fisheye lens as well. I am more than pleased with the quality of the results that I have been able to get from this camera and lenses.

Feel free to contact me for any specific questions about it.

obeone,

I may be interested, but do not use Paypal. Could you settle for any other form of payment? I wouldn't even care if you required some time for money to clear before sending the gear. I have a couple positive transactions here on UHH.

I would also suggest you consider at least a serious look at a Panasonic M43rds. I used a Canon T2i for a couple years before cashing it in for a Panasonic GX85 and a few lenses; a move I have not regretted in the least. Has dual IS and can use both Panasonic and Olympus lenses(without any lens adapters).

I'd like to throw in another option for consideration; especially since you have had Panasonic experience. That would be the GX85. Not being sure what sort of IS(image stabilization) that the Fuji cameras have, the GX85 has dual IS. Both in camera and with lenses that have IS. I bought my Panny because I have Parkinson's, and this dual IS has been a real PLUS to me so far. ALso lens options are good too; with many choices and decent quality.

You might want to check out Dead Horse State Park, and the ghost town of Cisco both nearby, and both worth visiting if you have the time.

Zario,

I have a Pentax PN3 with a Sigma 35-70mm lens and a 70-210mm lens. Got it from my son, but have no need for it. Would let you have it for $25 which would cover Priority Mail plus a couple bucks. Let me know if you'd like it. Can't beat the price. Looks to be in really nice shape. Son didn't use it very much at all.

A picture or 2 would be nice, and will help your sale.

I"m a proud owner(and frequent user) of a FZ1000. For me it's been a perfect fit. IT's has always been my grab and go choice, and I've never been disappointed with the use and results. I did some serious research on Y-tube; finding very few negative comments. I frequently print 16X20s of it's images with loads of detail.
No plans of parting with it anytime soon. It's a keeper.

How did my original topic migrate to where we are now?

I wish to THANK all of you folks who contributed to my situation. Sounds like my photography can continue on for a while. I was VERY happy to realize that. I appreciated all the upbeat comments. Having known no one with this disease, you've given me a lot of hope for getting along in the future.

Just goes to show how the UHHers can come through during a true time of need.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.

jpopkin, and other responders,

Thanks to you and others for your words of encouragement. Happens that I am a retired public school instrumental music teacher of 35 years with a HUGE interest in classical music (1st) and Jazz(2nd) listening. So your suggestion is literally "music to my ears". Thanks so much.

I'm happy to hear that I will not need to hang up my photographic interests as well.

Thanks all,
Bob

I've recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's. So as an avid hobby photographer what can I expect in the future? Will a tripod become a must-use piece of equipment. So far. I'm still pretty steady.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from any UHHers who may also have this disease. Thank you.

Rokinon or Bower would be just fine. Wanted for use on my MFT mirrorless Panasonic GX85. I have a Olympus 40-150mm lens willing to trade for the fisheye. LIKE NEW, used once, condition.

Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the P1000 after you get use to it.
