Hi I'm new here. I have a question. I own the Lumix FZ 1000 and I use it most everywhere. I have never met with another photographer that owns one. Did I make a mistake? Thanks, Jim

Well in my opinion, I am sure there are many others that own the Lumix FZ1000 model camera. It has it's positive qualities and I suppose it may have certain negative aspects, depending on each person that owns that model camera. Personally I had one P&S Panasonic Lumix camera, an older, simpler model, that I today wish I still owned, especially in times it is not practical or possibly difficult to carry around a DSLR with a Large lens. But I would strongly recommend the Panasonic Lumix camera line to anyone that asked me.

No, no, no, don't listen to any of them. The FZ 1000 is one of the worst cameras you could possibly own. I'll tell you what; just because I'm a good guy I'll take it off your hands so you won't have to wonder and stew about it. I'll give you fifty no I'll give you a hundred dollars for it and I'll even pay for shipping.

The mentioned Bridge cameras on this forum with good reputations, are the Canon SX50, SX60 series, the Panasonic FZ1000. And the very best of all, the Sony RX10iv.. It's very expensive though, for a Bridge camera. Your camera ranks high among Bridge cameras. Enjoy it.

I"m a proud owner(and frequent user) of a FZ1000. For me it's been a perfect fit. IT's has always been my grab and go choice, and I've never been disappointed with the use and results. I did some serious research on Y-tube; finding very few negative comments. I frequently print 16X20s of it's images with loads of detail.
No plans of parting with it anytime soon. It's a keeper.

I have the FZ-70. It is a love hate relationship. For me it is often difficult to work through the menus and I never have figured out the manual focus. But when it comes time to "shoot the moon" I absolutely love it. So get your batteries charged and point it skyward this Sunday night.

Bought the FZ1000 6 months ago and have been extremely pleased with it. Have other cameras, including Canon G7XMKII, Canon EOS APSC cameras, etc. The FZ1000 has easily become my go-to camera; as well as my travel camera. Yes, the bridge camera is a little larger than my other P&S styles but is so versatile and well-balanced and the 1” sensor ably supplies great photos that I can’t leave home without it. Also, I am just scratching the surface of its features. Enjoy not only a Great camera but a real bargain, IMHO.

Most opinions say the FZ 1000 is a better camera than the FZ2500, its replacement, and certainly worth the price.
