Thank you for your input and I think you are right, the second one is the better photo, I love the black and white too! It just works better sometimes, don't you think? Thanks, again!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I can't begin to tell you how helpful everything you took time to share with me, helped! It's finally clicked and I feel SO much better and I will definitely use the tire suggestion, but with a little change so I just don't steal it outright! Right? But I got it right when I saw this photo. You are such a help and have saved me from falling very behind with my lessons, I appreciate it very much, I will be sharing more stuff here for sure, and hopefully I will learn everything that's difficult for me to learn at school here, somehow, just having examples and an explanation by someone else everything just light's up and boom! you comprehend what just was a lost cause a moment ago! You rock! THanks again

Hi! I am supposed to emphasize size by off center placement for this photo due for school, do you guys think this is capturing what I am supposed to capture? There isn't anything to compare the subject to in but I feel the size is obvious and i am using the rule of thirds, do you think this is appropriate? I need to get this project sent in and it's been holding me back for weeks because I am stressing out way too hard about it, if you can give me any ideas I really appreciate any help you can give me! There is a choice of two. But if you think I need a whole other picture all together I suppose that is what i have to do.

Will someone PLEASE help me? I have to turn in a project for school...one photograph due needs to draw the viewer's eye to the subject using leading lines...I have these two photographs, but I realize they are not too great, I am allowed to do post processing, as long as I don't go crazy with it. Would you mind helping me either with some tips for either re-shooting them or perhaps something I may be able to do to enhance and improve them with Aperture3 or Pixelmator? I appreciate it more than you can know! Thank you for your time in advance.

Hi everyone! I am Carly, I am brand new here and wanted to say "Hi"! and thank you for allowing me to join your community! I live in beautiful Lake Havasu City, AZ in a cute little condo with my cat Kittana and I am mostly happy. I am studying Photography and I am hoping to be able to get a few little suggestions and help along the way by running a few photos by you that I will be submitting to school for assessment-I am encouraged by constructive criticism and can honestly take it so feel free to be as honest as need be(yikes). I shoot with a Canon Tli. I have 2 lenses so far, both Canon, one is 18-55mm(kit lens) which I enjoy using and think is a fine lens! I also have a 55-250mm lens. I struggled for some time making that decision but in the end it seemed the logical choice. I am so happy to be part of photography! Aren't we lucky to be able to help people, not to mention ourselves, preserve memories and stop moments in time? I think it's a privilege, myself, so I really want to learn just as much as I can for as long as I can so that I can photograph in the most creative, candid, beautiful, ugly, wonderful, horrible ways....you know just whichever way may be important in getting the moment across.(I need to take a breath)! Well, it's nice to be part of a forum, I joined the one for school but haven't submitted anything but an intro there, eventually I will gain the confidence to do that but I feel I can be less intimidated here - that to me is important! Hi there Everyone and Thanks for having me!

This is the beautiful view from outside my office window. With a smidge of post processed color, don't need to much with these sunsets!
