Looked out the front door and saw this beauty sitting on a shrub 300' away. Grabbed the camera and it was hurry up, point and shoot before he flew away... Spring really is on the way....

nice photo's....I was going to say looks like Myrtle Beach (last photo ) , but I don't think they allow horses

The one with the horse is Myrtle Beach State Park and they do allow horses. The other's were taken at North Myrtle Beach @ Cherry Point.

Gorgeous, DB! The bouquet is wonderful and I love how you rendered it. Your images are a great memory to have of Mother's Day long after the petals have wilted.

Thank You Carlysue..... they are a precious memory for sure.

That's true, DB. I worked a couple flowers up and just wasn't the same. Think it has to be a special flower, maybe backlit and one that pops from the background. Mine don't meet that! Love the colors in your iris.

Thanks Pat..... yes it's difficult to get the flower isolated from the background in B&W I tried backlighting this not sure if it worked any better or not.

DB I like the composition of the photo. Lovely color, I like both versions.

Thank You, Dane. I like them both but the color is my favorite. Mother Nature at her best.

Some things just look better in color. At least in this case.

Thanks for looking at the photos. I ended up taking over 300 that day. The guys at the fire dept were happy to see them.

I've done that in the past for our local fire dept too. They are always happy to see someone take an interest in what they do. Keep up the good work.
