I posted this image in the Dynamics of Photographic Lighting section, but I think it doesn't get very much traffic so I'm posting here as well. Close up of two shot glasses set up in my photo studio. I love the interaction of the refractions and the shapes that they produce. I also included here a schematic of the basic setup. It's very straighforward.
I haven't been in my studio lately, but with the inset of I'm returning to one of my favorite subjects which is glass. This is a basic 'darkline' set up. I love the refraction interaction
Delilah kindly sat for this portrait. I obliged her and used the same watercolor effect as I had used with the lilies.
Linda I use my rotating screen quite a bit. For both low shots like this and for high angle looking down shots too.
What's there not to love?
Very nice, Linda. I like the tonality. I like how the darkest tones have gone black, they contrast nicely with the rest of the image.
Hi Linda, thanks for your comments. Yes, I'm still using film occasionally, but due to costs and lack of immediacy I just shoot film occasionally. These shots however are digital, shot with my Sony mirrorless a6400.
This is my first post in this section. I'm playing around a bit with the photo effects selections in my a6400. Watercolor effect and in the second case a closeup with my fisheye lens. Natural morning lighting on my window sill.
UHH ish.... I like that! But prey tell, what exactly is it?

Paul, over time all your comments make me laugh.... or grimace... whatever, they add to my day.
Paul you always make me chuckle and laugh.
Photographed with my Leica IIIc with 50mm collapsible Summicron. There's a film section here but it doesn't seem to get much traffic.
I haven't seen many or any postings in this section lately. I'd like to help keep it alive. I love rusty old trucks. They're so tactile. Shot with my Leica IIIc 50mm collapsible Summicron, Kodak Ektar 100 film.
Here's a couple of captures of the early morning sky taken a few days apart from each other, from the same spot in my backyard. If you download the second photo you can see the waning crescent moon, and if you really look hard, Saturn is a short distance away at 4 o'clock from the moon
