Neither Eastern Wood Peewees or Eastern Phoebes have yellow on their chests or the chestnut color on their tail. It would be helpful to know where you took this photo. Best I can come up with is Brown-crested Flycatcher or perhaps Dusky-capped Flycatcher. Hope others have a more definitive response.
Thanks for posting the photo.
Danniel, it was good to brainstorm with you!
Danniel, reading your first post you said you were wandering all over the place. One of my friends, much younger than you also used a heavy wooden tripod. She wheeled it around in an old fashioned you pull it golf cart. Still heavy to remove from the car.
Hi Danniel: Perhaps a golf cart would help you haul your tripod and enable you to continue to use your long lens.
Hi Beth: 1. Sometimes I will take an image and process it several different ways far from the reality of the scene just for my own pleasure. That counts!!
2. During Covid my neighborhood initiated group activities (appropriately distanced) or through zoom. We had each others' email addresses. I started to send a picture a day to everyone. The responses were very interesting. Some liked flowers, some liked birds, some liked industrial shots, but most appreciated the thought.
3 Perhaps there is a facebook group where you could also obtain reactions or just post on facebook.
4. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there.
5. Thank you for posting these photos, they were great.
Super photos. Really appreciated the Chickadees.
Wow! Can't believe Egyptian Geese are in California!
Nice photos.
Thank you so much. Your photos have helped finalize my decision to purchase that lens.
Great photos! Were they taken through a window? Did you use a telextender?
We have similar senses of humor. I will also write in cursive to my grandchildren.
Cut him a break!! The bird is a female House Sparrow. Its beak eliminates all chance of it being the Spindalis. If it were a Western Spindalis, birders from all over would be flocking to see it!!
What terrific images. Each one evokes a different response. Thanks for sharing.
Here is another Song Sparrow that was hanging out at the Patuxent Research Refuge this morning.
Very creative set. Thank you for sharing these photos.
I used to agree with you, but now I do not. Starting the day by asking my wife what she would like done and then doing it either with her or on my own has substantially improved home life for both of us. We are more in tune with each other and more tolerant of each other's foibles.
On subject there are so many different aspects to photography, good scenery, good or acceptable bird photos, family photos, sports photos and more. As someone not as advanced as others, I also enjoy learning new camera functions even though I have had my Canon D77 for three years. Recently learned how to bracket exposures, am working on back button focusing, and just experimenting with different settings. Even on a snowy cold day, like today in MD it was great to do some shooting (except I forgot to change the white balance for snow).
With so much digital stored on computers or the web, unless I print a photo book, noone will really see my pictures.
