Day 2 using this lens. Processed some shots at the local park (Pinehurst Lake) with ON1.
These are all hand-held. Next group will be on tripod.
It is clear that to get the most out of this lens for full-frame landscapes, camera needs to be well aligned in both axes!
Enjoying the learning curve.
As usual C&C welcome.

I really enjoy using my Samyang 14mm wide-angle lens. Once the lens profile is loaded in my post-processing software, I get some excellent images.
7-Artisans have been advertising a 9mm "zero distortion" lens for full-frame cameras, so I finally bit the bullet. Like the Samyang, this is a manual focus lens, so some patience is needed to get sharp focus where you want it. My Sony A7C has a magnified views to aid with this. As some have noted, the focus peaking can be a bit misleading.
Most of the shots included here were at f11.
Photoshop does not yet have this lens included in it's lens profiles, so I took a shot of a grid and made a manual setting which I put as a preset in Camera Raw.
I am very pleased with the results - for me, this is a "keeper".
Have a great day, everyone.

Great shot. Would work in B&W as well. Did notice some dust on your sensor, though.

Hello folks on UHH. My wife and I are traveling to Italy this month for 2 weeks. It’s an organized tour. Rome , Venice, Pompeii,Florence. I’m taking a Sony A7riiia, 20-70 f4 and a 70-200 f4. Will the F4 lenses be good enough for interior cathedrals etc…. I’m a novice and have no experience with interior architecture etc…. Should I bring a batis 18 f2.8 or a Sony 35 f1.4 gm for low light ? Prefer to travel light. Thanks in advance.

24-105 mm will be good. You can walk along the Rainbow bridge and take some shots from the middle of the bridge.
If you are planning to take shots from the Canadian side, the 14 - 24 will be great. Anywhere along the road from slightly behind the Falls right up to parallel to the American Falls will be great with either of these lenses.
Continuing towards Whirlpool and a trip on the Aerocar will give you lots of opportunities to get great shots and panoramas.
Continue beyond there to get onto the trail which takes you down to the Whirlpool for fun shots and then go further (on the bus - get a day pass) and take the trail down to the river for more good shots.
If you take your passport, the American side gives you cool photos of the American and Bridal Falls. The park on the American side gives great images of the rapids.
Night photography from the Canadian side gives you images of the American and Horeshoe Falls illuminated by high-power LEDs.
Use the wide-angle on the boat, but be ready to keep wiping off the lens, since there is a lot of mist in the air.
Enjoy!

Sky exposures are gorgeous. Although conventional thought goes contrary to this, I would lighten the fields and see how that looks. Maybe an HDR effect would do the same... Lovely series.
