I really enjoy using my Samyang 14mm wide-angle lens. Once the lens profile is loaded in my post-processing software, I get some excellent images.
7-Artisans have been advertising a 9mm "zero distortion" lens for full-frame cameras, so I finally bit the bullet. Like the Samyang, this is a manual focus lens, so some patience is needed to get sharp focus where you want it. My Sony A7C has a magnified views to aid with this. As some have noted, the focus peaking can be a bit misleading.
Most of the shots included here were at f11.
Photoshop does not yet have this lens included in it's lens profiles, so I took a shot of a grid and made a manual setting which I put as a preset in Camera Raw.
I am very pleased with the results - for me, this is a "keeper".
Have a great day, everyone.
I have that lens. It has quickly become my favorite milky way lens. Enjoy it.

I have yet to try it on a night sky - at f5.6, I'm a bit concerned, since I don't have a sky tracker...
Have a great day
A tracker really helps. I also have a laowa 9mm 2.8 but I like how the 7 artisans focuses a little better. It is a fun lens to have in the arsenal.
