I live in Oregon...the Meadowlark is the STATE bird....I haven't seen a live one in 40 years....The fields used to be full of them....now...none...(yes there is tears in my eyes). Beautiful pics..
WOW! I don't use anything...I just crop only...I did purchase Corel paintshop...but every time I open it...I'm bombed with "update to 2018 edition" (Mo-money). So I turned it off...and I just crop my photos
Thank you for the information about this beautiful bird. Also in my neighborhood is an almost pure white dove that I've seen a handful of times flying with these type of doves. I hope to catch it in my viewfinder someday.. It has truly been a great day...I learned something new and have had the privilege to photograph this dove... :>) trainespotter
Today I decided to feed the local dove. This bird is very wary because there are so many cats lurking around. (I counted 5 just watching the feeder). I felt lucky to get a few snaps of this beautiful bird. 10 years ago..you would never see these birds in this part of Oregon...I believe the warmer climate has brought them to this area.
The classic story Of mice and men came to mind when I looked out my front door one morning. My neighbor "decided" to start a rabbit for meat business...well these two must be escapees from the operation. I thought I'd better get "proof" incase a warrant was issued for their capture. I have been know to harbor animal fugitives in the past. Should be MORE rabbits soon!
Thank you all for the encouragement....This forum is a inspiration for beginners like me. I hope to learn something from all of you....again...THANK-YOU!
I stopped at the Truck stop That I retired from to buy a soda....out front was this Parrot Panhandler....he actually spoke and whistled for change. What could I say?.....I gave him my change....and took a few snaps!! I also found a small barn just about to collapse.
Great set....I love that TEXAS cottage in the back ground.....(jus kidding)...:>)
I know this is late, but I also concur....the Tokina 100mm is an excellent value...This was my first lens after the kit lenses. I am totally happy with it.
Great shot...was that bird hard to spot? It blends in so well with the brush.....excellent find.
