Traveling to Alaska soon. Need advice for a light weight tripod/monopod which will fit in a carry on. Cost is an issue so go easy with suggestions. Thanks.

Been reading the UHH for a month or two and decided it was time to join officially. Have enjoyed the postings, advice, and humor. Hail from New York. Have enjoyed photography for many years and recently bought my first DSLR (Nikon D7200). Before that I shot with a Panasonic Lumix FZ150 which served me well. Going to Alaska in May and figured it was time for an upgrade. Hope I made the right choice. Love the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, biking, and sight seeing. Have taken many photos with the Nikon but still have a lot to learn. When posting, any advice or constructive criticism would be welcomed.
