Been reading the UHH for a month or two and decided it was time to join officially. Have enjoyed the postings, advice, and humor. Hail from New York. Have enjoyed photography for many years and recently bought my first DSLR (Nikon D7200). Before that I shot with a Panasonic Lumix FZ150 which served me well. Going to Alaska in May and figured it was time for an upgrade. Hope I made the right choice. Love the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, biking, and sight seeing. Have taken many photos with the Nikon but still have a lot to learn. When posting, any advice or constructive criticism would be welcomed.
Caught this at my bird feeder. Hope it is sharp enough.

Welcome to UHH.
The D7200 is a very good camera.
Welcome to a fellow newbie! I have had a D7100 with an 18-200 Nikkor lens for about three years now. In short, I love it! Its my first digital, I had a Nikon F-100 before (still have it,btw.) I have had no problems with it, and I really enjoy the flexibility it offers (most other cameras of same class offer very similar capabilities.) Before you go on your trip, spend as much time as you can to explore the camera (with manual in hand) - it will pay triple in photo dividends! Good luck!
Good shot, welcome to the forum.
Nice start. I, too, shoot with a D7200 and have a D7000 for backup. I love them both and have had no issue with them. Welcome to the forum.
Welcome, ibjed and am shooting with the D7100 and I'm very pleased with it's performance, which is much better than mine!
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!
