Hi: Murray here from New Westminster,B.C. Canada. I use a Nikon D5100 with the 18-55 and 55-300 kit lenses + a 50mm. 1.8. Use an oldie
but goodie Canon G9 as backup and where weight is an issue. Primary interest is landscapes, night scene, moon shots etc. lots of good stuff on the site. Happy New Year to all.
I would leave it very close to original....as already noted, it is very nicely balanced.

I too have one of each & extremely happy with both.
Don't see a red ring either, although the lower portion of the moon is somewhat brighter due to ambient knight I expect.
