while I think your ideas are great. I have one thing to add and that is helping the common man. One man's idea of helping the common man is to ens***e him to the government. That is no help whatsoever but is even more problematic. Freedom shall rule, freedom must rule. It is the only way to be happy.

I have Picasa and use it but it is limited on what it can do. It is definitely not the best. I also have Photoshop which is much harder to use but the limitation seem endless. It is a much better program and from what I have read even the writer does not understand all that it can do. With the newer digital processes there is as much that is done in the lab as there is on the front end so that should be a consideration. But we do now have that option which was not available to us before. The options seem to me we can continue to limit ourselves or spend more money to eliminate those limitations. Yes, I know you have the limited budget which is also another limitation. Photoshop does have some cheaper editions which might be considered.

I was having the same quandary trying to justify the $600 difference and after researching I came to these conclusions.
The 750 performs better in lower light. Has faster auto focus, WIFI, go to Nikon USA website for more information.

I think you would be better off finding an old photography book somewhere in the 1960's long before the digital craze. What you are wanting to know is about mechanical issue which digital seems good at ignoring. Also find an old lens with a aperture depth of field scale on it that may help. Been in photography a long time and still use the old info.

Aperture is depth of field, plain and simple. Older lenses used to have a depth of field scale printed on them. This depth of field varies according to the focal length of the lens. The smaller the aperture he more depth of field and the larger the aperture the less depth of field. When us use aperture shutter speed is not a concern and if shutter speed is a concern then use it first. The newer lenses have eliminated with modernization the usage of the depth of field scale. Find an old lens with a depth of scale on it and study it. Many cameras have a depth of field button on them and you can see what will be in focus with which lens you are using. Or you can do a search for a depth of field scale on the internet which will be a lot of memorizing or you can always carry it around with you. i wish they had not eliminated the depth of field scale on the lenses.

I had a problem similar to this one and it is in the computer, something you have done to change some setting. I cannot remember how i fixed it. Actually my son-in-law fixed it for me. Not much help I know but maybe a little.

I do not know if you load them and save them on your computer, and I am hoping you do. Most programs that I know that save photos have a way leveling them. Picasa, Adobe Photoshop and others all have them. I know it will appear as extra work but is an easy fix.

Love you monologue as it made me laugh. But I do have one question and that is why would anyone even consider including a pointy/shooty as part of the discussion?
