I agree buy a new camera they are much better for low light situation now.

For something that big I would use the RRS BH-55 or the Wimberly the cost is lot but they never give you any problems. I had used in the past the Arca-Swiss but it would stick all the time. I understand the new ones work much better now.

I don't feel the saving is worth it but I have purchased some items that were grey market without a problem.

It's a Piranha

Yes that is a Piranha the rivers were full of them we ate a lot of them ourself they taste pretty good.

On this trip we are in small motor boats but taken from the water all the same.

These are just some of the thousands of pictures I took on my last trip to the Pantanal region of Brazil last fall. I have been many places including Africa and the Pantanal is right up there at the top of the list. The sheer numbers, diversity and frequency of Wildlife was astounding. A true wildlife photographers paradise.
