These are just some of the thousands of pictures I took on my last trip to the Pantanal region of Brazil last fall. I have been many places including Africa and the Pantanal is right up there at the top of the list. The sheer numbers, diversity and frequency of Wildlife was astounding. A true wildlife photographers paradise.

Looks like the Caiman has just secured its lunch. Is that a Piranha that I see in the Caiman's mouth? Wonderful series of photos. . .love the Toucan!

Great shots but what is in the caimans' mouth? If that is its tongue it looks weird. Or is it the appetizer before the meal?

Absolutely great shots! My wife and I went to the Pantanal in 2012 and got many shots similar to yours only I did not have 500mm lens so yours are closer than ine. However, we did get some fantastic shots of a couple jaguars, for thre hours - incredible, that were sleeping, walking, hunting or playing along a stream bank. Yes, I highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in wildlife photography.
