really like the top shot. Where is Verona Park?
Thanks,
Bill
I have a Sony nex-6 with auto HDR. The feature works well if you have a short exposure. My advice: up the ISO so you can shoot at the reciprocal of the lens focal length and brace the camera, then shoot the scene multiple times.

You are biased. Today's mirrorless cameras are not only close to being equivalent to high end SLRs, but, in some cases, superior. Having a WSIWYG viewfinder is invaluable in that one can preview the actual light reaching the sensor without "chimping" with the LCD after the exposure as is the case with an SLR.
Also, my NEX-6, with kit lens, is half the weight and 1/3 the volume of a Canon 60D and I can carry it in a jacket pocket. It can shoot twice as many frames/sec than the Canon, shoot HDR in camera and do panos and even b/w in camera.
The future is mirrorless.

Rich,
I assume you're doing local artist's shows with a booth and putting out prints and framed prints? Are you actually able to then make at least $25/hr. profit for all the time and effort you expend?
I own a sole proprietorship and make two to three times this hourly rate, but thought if I could make $25 an hour doing what I love (photography) that would suffice.
Thanks,
Bill
Rich,
Thanks for the feedback. It just seems that showing this way may not provide enough money for the time and expense.
I put a value on my time of at least $25 per hour which would include ALL time involved outside of actually taking the photos.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Bill
Excellent article. I have made a decent living using my writing and design skills for 40 years and have always been paid for my efforts. Unfortunately, my photo website and gallery hanging have netted me nothing. The only people who make money in photography today, with few exceptions, are those that put on seminars, trade on their recognition as writers for photo publications and bloggers who peddle photo equipment.
Thank you. Have been reading his columns for years and this video was the best yet.

Where can I go to download the app you mentioned?
Thanks, Bill
Thanks. Unfortunately it's supposed to rain most of the week, but maybe I'll get a little decent light for a quick shot. Thanks. Liked your photos.
Bill
I will be going there tomorrow. Where exactly did you go to get those great shots?
Thanks,
Bill
Thank you very much; that's exactly what I needed to know.
Bill
Thanks for the input.

Does Yongnuo make a strobe for NEX-6 cameras?
One of the most beautiful photo sites I know. Made 16 X20 canvas print of the area.
Excellent post. Thank you.
