At least the NEX-6 has a standard hotshoe, unlike the NEX-7.

Any "single pin" strobe like Yongnuo manual flashes will work. (I think you need a hotshoe adapter because the NEX 6 has that weird "multi-function" shoe)

What won't work is any TTL functions, for that you need a Sony Flash.
