Could you let us know which camera?

What good would that do?

I have a 70-300mm Quantaray lense that has recently stopped working in autofocus mode. Manual is fine and the images are still good, however the autofocus glitch is becoming a pain. Any help is appreciated.

Take or send the lens to a qualified repair technician - there are no magicians on this site.
Edit: Google "Quantaray lens repair."

It might be that people are selling stuff to afford living.
I LOVE guitars! But I'd sell them in a quick second, for whatever I could get for them. Not to raise panic but the day may come when I'd swap my prized Gibson acoustic for a loaf of bread. I thank God I'm not there yet!
Corona-19 has hit our economy from many different directions. Not bad for a single-celled, brainless virus so tiny you have to use an electron microscope to see it. just saying...

Why do you think the virus affects Nikon owners more than the owners of other brands?

Can somebody with a Z body let me know the answer to this one. I use BBF and my wife hates it. I wonder if the U modes remember the setting for BBF or shutter button focus...if so then I can easily configure my wife’s soon to be Z50 to make both of us happy. Conversely...if using the A, S, or Auto modes automatically switches back to shutter button focus that would work too.

I’m gonna get her a Z50 anyway...but being able to configure it so either of us is happy would be a plus.

The answer should be in the user's manual.

The way mirrorless adherents describe them, they sound like the answer to the snapshooter's prayers.

Hi friends, My name is Don and am sure glad of this forum being here!
I have a Panasonic 55mm 1:2.8 - 135mm lense. I need an adapter so I can use it on my Sony a6000...e-mount I've had the lens for a while and it is a 'hand me down' so I'd like to put it to good use. Can someone please help me with the right adapter? Thx

Enter your camera body mount and lens mount to see what's available. FotodioX adapters are well made.

Is that is because the polarizer is supposed too be on the outside of the stack if you are stacking filters?

Some eliminate the front thread to keep it thin. I'm not sure if it makes much difference, but I believe the polariser should be next the lens (never tried stacking).

Just recently, I went to see some elk in Ky. They didn't come out until really late in the evening almost dark. I was using my headlights on my pickup, along with the flash on my D5600. When I got home an transferred the pics onto my computer, I found out then I didn't have the right focusing and pics come out close my not clear. I can still see what I'm seeing but pics are blurred. How can I improve when taking pics this late in the evening? I was using a 70-300 manual focus lens. I was also talking to a few other who was taking pics, and they were using a lot larger lens than I had. One guy was using 600 lens, another lady was using a large telescopy lens that you see along the football fields during games on TV. So what is a good all around lens for taking pics of wildlife. We are talking a range of 100 to 200 yards.

Unfortunately, the D5600's penta-mirror design is ill-suited for low-light manual focusing. It's bad enough in good light.

That's a case when the filter can go on the front of the hood's mounting ring.

Is the HR-2 double threaded? I cannot tell for sure by the picture, and I do not have that hood.

I have a Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8 D with a lens hood that came with it. If I put on any kind of filter whether a UV or polarizer and then try re-attach the lens hood it will not go on no matter what I try. It's frustrating.

The correct hood is the Nikon HR-2. It will screw into any female 52x0.75 thread. Some thin polarisers may not have a female thread.

Switching systems is but one reason to sell. Many sell their present gear to finance an upgrade, some may find that a particular lens or camera model doesn't suit their needs, etc. I wouldn't assume that every seller is buying a different brand.

Not trying to enflame a war of words, but watching the classified section I'm amazed that so much more Nikon equipment is being resold even though they don't have the total sales of Canon. Are people less satisfied?

What did the folks selling their gear say when you asked them??

Thanks for the replies. It seems that I was obsessing unnecessarily! The obvious answer for me is to do my own testing. I wonder if different lenses react differently?

What does the lens manual say regarding the use of VR on a tripod? It's not the same with all lenses. Running your own tests is always best in any event.
