David, you did a great job with these shots. I live only 25 miles from them and have shot them several times. But I like your top 3 shots better than anything I've come up with. qrpnut
Thanks.

Took about a two hour drive and came to a small town in western MA called Shelburne Falls. A lot of talented artisans, a Bridge of Flowers and these glacial potholes.

I was thinking (sorry 'bout that) about the debit ceiling and wondered why is it that we can not have a budget, cut our spending and have a surplus like we had at the end of Bill Clinton's term. Okay, I am no wiz at business math but I can budget my money and pay my bills and maybe have a little money at the end of the month to carry over into the next month. Why can't our government do the same.
What is keeping us from having a surplus now?

BTW, came across this about Bill Clinton's surlpus... Did he have a surplus?

I believe the major factor for the surplus during his presidency was the fact that Republicans took over both the House and Senate in 1994.

"Shove ObamaCare down our throats"???? Maybe you haven't been paying attention for the past few years, but ObamaCare was debated hotly, was passed by congress, signed into law, and even approved by the Supreme Court. THAT is the democratic process. Nothing "shoved down our throats" about it. The goal is to make sure all Americans have access to health care and that all Americans take some responsibility in paying for their health care. Exactly what don't you like about that? When Americans are asked their opinion on ObamaCare when each part is explained and it is called "The Affordable Care Act", the truth is that 92% of Americans are for it. The dumb-ass wing of the GOP had no alternatives that they suggested when this all started, and I don't hear any alternatives being suggested now. So unless they have a better idea, they should shut up and sit down. This is anti-democratic and it is just sour grapes.
"Shove ObamaCare down our throats"???? ... (show quote)
All Americans are not going to be taking responsibility. Companies are moving people to part time status so they don't have to provide healthcare. These people will be making less and have to get their own insurance. They will receive subsidies or pay nothing at all depending on their income. Obamacare is just another attempt to secure the democratic voter base. Why do you think the IRS is in charge of it? If you don't pay your fine they can garnish your wages, take money from your bank account or even confiscate your home just like they do if you don't pay your taxes. This law should never have been deemed constitutional in the first place. The chief justice was bullied into changing his mind.

I did read all the posts. I answered the last post I read. Just because we were answering the same post at the same time and yours was submitted before mine doesn't mean I didn't read all the posts.

I have but one thing to say: If obamacare is going to be so great, I want all government officials, from the president down, to be on it. Can't wait for that to happen. How about it folks?
I agree with you 100 percent. Why do they get the option to be exempt? I think they forgot that they are supposed to be working for us. Makes me nervous when they pass something on to us but want no part of it.
