No..it takes brass balls to try and shove O-blame-o care down America's throats and hold the American people hostage with a budget vote to get it.

This congressman is right...we don't have cash to keep the monument open but we have money to keep people out?

It's just punishment designed to put pressure on us so that we clamor to restore the government.

There are LOTS of parts of the government that are "still open"...it's a pick and choose by O-blame-o...whatever serves his political purposes.

Frank, are you really this deluded? It is an open air park, it is just an open space in DC! The only reason the administration ordered it closed was to screw with these Vets by denying them the opportunity to visit the memorial which honors them, so that it would get national headlines that the republican's had denied these hero's access to their own memorial. Well it back fired, it was just too transparent for all to see what the petulant president was doing, today the administration ordered the parks to be opened to the vets as the whole country is pissed off at the dumbass Administration for being so f'ing childish...

Sooooo He told the ranger that the park service should be ashamed of themselves for closing an open air park and you find that to be outrageous, he addressed the park service not her personally, he did so without using foul or hateful language... What is your point Frank, I also find what the park service did at the orders of Petulant Obama to be disgraceful, someone in the service should have had the balls to stand up and say No! Closing this park is wrong! Even the new concession of allowing only veterans in is BS, it is an open air park Frank, there is no reason to close it other than dems making ordinary citizens pay a price because the the other half of the government is being belligerent. I do not see at all how one employee (or many others for that matter) be blamed for doing what she is ordered to do. It is not about killing people here or illegal orders.

The order is in compliance with the 'NO MONEY" to pay for anything. That there is even a shadow of a service is amazing. The WH has nothing to do with the 'NO MONEY', congress does. After all they can pass a law to force the park open regardless of security and budgeting, after all, this open space, right?

Park rangers administer everything from dealing with trash to safety of the public who do have this expectation. Take them out and soon the damned parks become like NY Central Park a few years ago.

Congress **** is trying to rewrite or delay a law that has been unsuccessfully challenged in courts by taking the country hostage. I support Obama here EVEN if think some parts of this law are wrong and/or do not go far enough.

If you had two bits of sense you would realize that if this minority i will describe as of the usable-part-of-a-rear-horse-ends is allowed to do so anyone can by-pass any law by doing it again.

Just try to think of what the result would be if all laws are prevented to work by doing this?

This is wrong at so many levels it not even funny and to see that folks here do not see the larger picture is even more disturbing.

Am I the only one confused? If there was a park ranger was she just there because she didn't have anything to do on her furlough? Or was she there in an official capacity as an employee of the Park Service? If she was there only as a furloughed employee she really didn't have any authority...if she was there as an employee she was there to ensure access to the memorial? I agree the closing of these memorials is a childish act meant to "punish" the masses. I wonder what the masses would agree on as to what parts of the government they would find as being nonessential enough the shut down? I wonder....

I think I get it. The administration gets to decide what is good and bad for me, even though the constitution I've study says it's really the Congress that gets to do this......
