When you install a fresh battery and it discharges that means your battery is trying to charge the internal battery. You do need to have your internal battery replaced. Ask who will be doing your IR conversion if they will change the internal battery.

So far, I've hit my shutter a bit over 40,000 times on my Nikon D500. The literature says most sub-professional Nikons are good for 150,000-200,000 shutter actuations, and the pro's are good up to about 400,000. My question is: Can the camera's shutter mechanism be replaced at that point? Is it like putting in a new set of tires on a car, or more like replacing the whole engine? Thanks in advance for any knowledgeable input you can offer.

I have 580,000+ on my D3 and still going strong.

I dropped my Nikon D750 and got a couple of scratches on it.....can anyone tell me the best way to
make it look like new again.

My 2 cents! If you always want your camera to look new, put it in a glass case on a shelf and not use it. When I started a well used camera was a badge of honor. You need to see my well used D3 not much paint left and is scratched. It shows I used it a lot 580,000+ shutter count and still working

FYI The AS IF “FOCUS CONFIRMATION CHIP“ is a chip and contacts in the lens for focus feed back between lens and camera so you can use your camera focus system. It is a manual focus lens

Millworkers' Housing

The brainchild of Robert Owen Socialist Benefactor the Lanark Mills project was both to provide work for the local community with decent pay, working conditions and living conditions also

The housing provided by Dale was constructed to a high standard for the time, solidly built from local sandstone with Scotch slate roofs. The houses were built in the tenement style in order to maximise the accommodation that could be fitted into the narrow site and each 'house' consisted of a single room in which an entire family would live.

As the population of the village declined, houses were expanded to two or more rooms and the basement rooms (notoriously damp) ceased to be used altogether instead being used as wash-houses.

The ubiquitously misused "impacts" should be "affects" to be grammatically correct. Impact does NOT mean affect and is not interchangeable with it. Grammatical morons abound!

Why do you have to do this. Does it really hurt you that much!

There is no 1440mm lens for a dslr. The cheapest autofocus telephoto lens with a motor in the lens for a Nikon dslr would be about $250 used for the Nikkor 55-300mm lens, and the cheapest autofocus wide angle would be the Nikkor 18-55mm lens, used for about $125.The only other lenses in the $150 or less range will likely be manual focus film lenses, which could be mounted on the Nikon D3000's and Nikon D5000's series of dslrs.

Actually there is a larger than 1400mm (1200-1700mm) at one time it was $60,000 but might be higher today. Not many made and weigh 36 pounds rental only😂

I already had a SB600, SB800, and a SB900 and they all operate differently which is a pain. Now I have a total of four SB900s that operate the same and eliminate a lot of confusion. It also provides me with backup flashes which is very nice. I also managed to get two nice light stands that go up to about 12ft, a new 26inch Octo Box with stand and case, an "L" bracket for my camera and a new impact five in one 42inch reflective disc. also several umbrellas all for $150.00

I am seriously considering buying a Nikon D500 body. I currently have a D7000. What 2 or 3 lenses would you recommend and what accessories would you suggest? Is a flash necessary?.
I take mostly wildlife pics but have taken landscape pics at times. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

For wildlife the nikon 200-500 f5.6 you will never be disappointed lot of lens for the price. Has an excellent VR so you can hand hold at 500mm with excellent results. For your landscape photos you need a nice wide angle the Nikon my preference is the 14-24 f2.8 is excellent for landscape but I use mine most for real estate but there are others that I haven’t tried but others have that would go down to 10mm and a lot cheaper in price. An excellent walking around lens that is light enough not to wear you out is the 24-120 f4 it’s sharp and very reasonable in cost. All three of these are FF if you ever upgrade.
