Same tube? Constipation would take on a whole new dimension of pain.

In birds, snakes, and some other animals that is the case. Would spoil eating persimmons. The sex organs are in there too. It is called a cloaca. The Latin word for sewer.
Hope that that didn't spoil your evening.

I am not the original poster and I am the one who asked Jerry why he posted his post. Read it again. Yet you seem to have it in for me as if you and I have some personal problem I seem not aware of. I doubt I have ever posted to anything you submitted. All I can say is WTF?

Dennis

No sir. Not my intent at all. I have nothing in for anyone. I will apologize now to you or anyone offended.
I have noticed a proliferation of tacky, outdated(my opinion) and otherwise tasteless jokes. Have you people, whomever you may be,no life??? Go out, shoot some pictures, mellow out. Or, I know, get in a contest to see who knows the most Simpson characters. Or what brand cigarette does Peg drop in the dinner stew? Do you think selling perfume was Liz Taylor's life goal??? I know, let's have a spelling contest.

Thanks, Bill. I really try and I find it to be the most satisfying thing I've done. Every footstep into the weeds is a new adventure with each being different than the one before it. I'm embarrassed to say how many shots I take with so few of them being post worthy but there's a lesson in there somewhere for both the good and the bad.

There is the good, the bad, but I do not believe nature is ever ugly. Remorseless, yes.cruel, no. Ugly??? Hardly

I somehow question why someone would post the banal and infantile jokes they do. Is it anonimity?
Do you really think they are new? No I heard a lot of this shit when I started school in 1953. It still stinks.
Maybe turning the TV off and picking up a book would improve you(yeah, you), but doubtful.
I know, why do I read it? Something perverse in me. Maybe a PHD thesis here. What drives people to show their ass???
Bill

And if you want to be downright crude. Consider prostate cancer. Maybe a normal piss would look good. Been there, constantly considering a normal piss, those days are gone forever, over a longtime ago.

Jerry, while I do not disagree with your comment, I cannot imagine what might have brought up the comment to begin with. Did something happen in the male evolution cycle and I somehow missed the memo?

If you ever get to Red, Hot, and Blue, outside Annapolis, you can find out how to write, and emulate, the blues, in a handout that they offer. Food and service a nine five. One of the servers wears the most skimp; oops, was getting carried away.

these are cool, very shy and i dont see near as many as the green anole

FYI. This gecko is from Egypt and the Sudan area. They are introduced and breeding in ports around Galveston. The anole is a native. I was on and off Guam often in late 60's. Barracks had no heat(no need) and no AC(a need, but I was enlisted). Had convection cooling whenever nature was in our favour. And a lot of humidity, always.
The quarters were very basic and full of creatures unknown to most. Small geckos were everywhere, chirping, slurping(on bugs).
They were bedfellows, and I do not care how much he-man you are, a lizard in your bunk at two AM will make you a wimp.
There were two pound hermit crabs. There were cocanut crabs with delicious claws. And, toads that ate rats. They were huge, easily two pounds. Oh, and the large snail the hermit crabs would use for home, football size.
Thank you for those, and for the ones to come.

The husband had just finished reading a new book entitled, "You Can Be

"The Man Of Your House."

He stormed out to his wife in the kitchen and announced, "From now on, you
need to know that I am the man of this house and my word is Law.

You will prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I'm finished eating my
meal, you will serve me a sumptuous dessert.

After dinner, you are going to go upstairs with me and we will have the kind of sex that I want.

Afterwards, you are going to draw me a bath so I can relax. You wil wash my
back and towel me dry and bring me my robe. Then, you will massage my
feet and hands. Then tomorrow, guess who's going to dress me and comb my hair?

The wife replied, "The frickin' funeral director would be my first guess."

That was not funny when it was posted only a month or so ago. Might have been you then, too. I agree that general chit chat gives one licence, but I feel that there should be a limit to just how banal and juvenile a level will be expected and accepted in the humour department.
Thank you.

Went for a daily hunt and the insects are getting far and few between except for the skeeters. I modified the lighting on my rig and I truly like the results and I'll post a picture of it later for review and suggestions. Even the grasshoppers are getting scarce now although I did find my first snake of the year which is a Garter Snake and although the blade of grass was in the way, I just had to post one with his tongue out tasting me.

Only a few wildflowers remain now as well so I couldn't resist taking a few shots of them also. They are not as interesting or exciting as finding insects or spiders however I find them quite pretty.

Thanks for viewing and for any comments, suggestions or critiques in advance.

The snake is in the grass. It makes ID harder these days. So many mimics. I would go with Thamnophis sirtalist s. sp. That is a joke.
You are one of the people to emlulate. One of the few that ' gets it' quickly, much less at all. What is'it'? You get out more than you put out, you learn, and you share. The pictures are proof.

Thanks, Jeweler53! Yes, 67mm was the largest in the box. I suppose I could buy a 72mm (lens size) and then have a machinist cut that down to the OD of the 67 mm, but that'd be like killing ants with dynamite, I suppose. I'll go for the Neewer set. I'm grateful for you advice.
These are handy, but be aware, plastic, or at lease mine are.

Thanks for viewing, I really don't see spiders that often when I go out so they are mostly new to me. Perhaps with fall approaching and the plants thinning out I'll be finding more of them.
Look for them in AM on easterly facing woods borders. A bit deeper in the woods you should find Micratheha and similar genera.
Look at night with a dim flashlight in leaf litter for Pisaurides and Lycosids with eggs. The eyes are easily seen. Can I'D to family by how egg sac is carried. Watch for glowworms as a bonus.
Look now for rattail maggots in flooded tree holes. Go alone. Silence is never so golden. So you get no good shots, well, in just twenty four hours you can try again.

Last post of her I thought Neoscona oaxacensis. Still N., BUT no idea species.
Insects have much more information in print than spiders. Makes things a bit tougher to ID to species (spiders, that is).
October tomorrow.,soon spring will be here.

I was going to PP you. Will do so later, now.
Haven't used MPE65 except to see if ok.😀😀😀😀😀should answer that.
The spider looks to be a Neoscoma. I get that from messy web center. The family, Araneidae, from the fact that it makes an orb web. Now species? But I believe oaxacensis. Your location, the two toned spiney legs, and general appearance point that way.
When having fed well, these will eat old web and hide in a rolled leaf hide. When hungry, a new web is built.
Spiders hang in the web. They do not do a ballance act. They would be top-heavy. Some hang in web, waiting. Some use a hide. Look for a curled leaf with a direct heavy line to web. Usually up to six feet away. When prey(do not try to fool spider, unless an insect may not work, only allert to danger)gets trapped it comes down, body hanging and head first. Hmm, a photo opp?
This one is probably a gravid female. Keep an eye to nearby bushes for marble size, brown to gray colored silk egg sacs.
The rake is a good idea. Move leaf litter, then watch for movement. Carry a few white paper plates and a spoon. Should find another world opens up.
Goodnight, Gary. And all

Sorry, Clash cover not to my liking. She took the life out of it and turned it into Muzak. Linda Rondstat does the same with her covers. Must be legal, but still a sin.
