Well, it looks like your having fun, and that is just what a project can get you. Your all set for the big one coming up soon. I saw these back some time ago when you posted them at the time of the past eclipse. I look forward to seeing the outcome of your investigation of the soon to be event. Good hunting there my photon junky buddy! LOL!!!

Thanks Tim, right now I have a lot to deal with so I cannot commit to anything but running down there to hang out this coming April sure sounds like fun.

I sent a PM to Bruce but just to update ya guys, here some more imnfo.

Liz Ashely needs to leave Houston and do either San Antonio or the OTHERS (Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth) as tyhe path is through us and not boring Houston! Can say for sure but she will be on some location for the event (she has to be!). So, I'm working that angel.

Another model, Patti (Patti Cum Cakes) is in London and she said she will need to visit the states, family, but I'm ttying to get her to spring for San Antonio.

As the water 'thing' goes, I have loads of garden hose, I put in FOUR (yes 4), cold AND HOT water spigots to the garden (Yep, no fooling around for me!). So kiddy pools, a ground pool (5X8 foot size), a deep metal cattle watering tank (3X5 foot), and loads of such water holding devices. I use the hot water to blend with the cold water supply so the water will be just right. Bubbles courses of Dawn Liquid Kitchen detergent (great soaping bubbles and the garden plants think it is fertilizer with a big gulp!).

With Patti here there will be some naughty alternative stuff.

Now VADA is a for sure! That means on the food side loads of fresh cold water melon! That girl lives to eat water melon. Besides water melon, she likes it warm, and being necked and WATER.

Then there is Ms. Kat, vary naughty and great friends with Ms. VADA. Kat is a modern internet model doing as much alternative style modeling as she can, like, "From the apartment landing above, looking down past the pencil cactus clusters, as she suns herself on the garden bench". Or "Getting direction from another traveling model as Kat and VADA do another style fun naughty session".

It is so much fun when several women get together and do modeling. But they got to be comfy with their modeling skills, no room for armatures! Not if you want great images. Rarely does a photographer get this sort of opportunity and it is important to just go what ever direction these actress want to take the event, just sit back and let the creativity leap out and know your camera craft as well as they know modeling craft!

Like in the image, "Getting direction from another traveling model, as Kat and VADA do another style fun naughty session."

Last is Ms. Starena (my pet name for Serena). Serena probably has more stage presence than many Hollywood first ladies! I have witnessed this woman take over a work shop of fifteen photographers and play each one and have them eating out of her hand like a lioness. She has the right stuff, period. And when she is finished, she comes out of a trance like effect and remembers nothing of what she has just done. The other models around her are blown away and want her to mentor them. I watched her take control of Zozobra* in Santa Fe New Mexico where she was the single fire dance performer, spinning poi into giant circles of flame, doing fire dance before 40,000 people, transform her magic, and drop much of the audience quiet, as a 50 foot tall effigy burned into a firry death. There is Starena (Serena) in Arizona (the arid zone), she just hast to come for the eclipse.

Look I'm evil, I play to their mortality, the next full eclipse will be about 25 years from now in the US and it will slid through Tex-ass again, so why not now when you can still move around in the buff and get a load of 'Hubba-Hubbas!

Heyyyyy Tim, yea a bit of time has passed since I replied but I have lost interest for the most part in UHH, I do read daily this topic and chit chat but for the most part, lost interest.
Let me share some pics of what I did this past annular eclipse from my patio. Yea I made my own solar filters.

The Nikon has the screw on filter I applied the solar filter sheeting on, you will see this on down.

(Download)

I sat on the bucket but the crack in it is so the water from the potted plant can drain out, you can see it on the left.

(Download)

(Download)

This is screw on filter to fit my 80-400mm lends.

(Download)

This is how I secured the solar filter sheet to the lens, no glue at all used.

(Download)

This is other filter attachment I made for the Nikon lens, it jsut slips over the sun shade as you can see.

(Download)

This is the one I made for the Lumix FZ300, this is a fitting before fianl gluing and paint. it zooms to 600mm.

I have always liked mirrors. They create interesting facts and I like the way you use these with Sharon. I will be looking for the images that you do plan to post, but these were I do like that you have here.

Sippy is right. This has been a problem for years here in Texas. We see a lot of this. It is mostly automobile accidents or wrecks They leave the scene if they can get away with it. It is happened to me and others that I know.

Well your in the path and I got the babes, so, why not come that day and you can join other photographers to work with those babes. I dig that you are way up thar but here in the thing, just up from my studio (less that 1/20 mile, really! It really is right up Mission Road) there is a nice simple cheap motel ($80 a night), vary clean and quiet, people have stayed there over night after a day at the studio. Then, you got the eclipse and the babes! VADA is such a great person and I swear it's true, she would rather be OUT of her clothes than IN them!

Out in the garden, pools with water, swings with leopard print swings and strawberries with whipped cream, BUT never ever forget water melon!

Well Tim, you are offering a very nice setting for this event. I live in Grand Prairie Texas, Planet Earth, third dimension. This as you know is between Dullass and Ft.Worth. Yea I never cared for Dullass. Anywhoo, this past annular eclipse I shot a few hundred images of the event with both my Nikon D300 S and the Panasonic Lumix FZ300. I made my own filters and I posted here on UHH in the Astro and gallery sections how I made them.
Now, I was talking to my 93 year young mom last week and she was telling me that she was reading about ALL the hotels and motels already being booked up in advance of this. I would expect the same there too.
Your place looks like a really fun and happening place to experience this event. It sure like a fun place to be.
I am not sure yet where I will be, if I stay here I will do it from my patio. If I move, I will do it from there. If I get stir crazy, I may run down there and hang out with you kids.
All in all, you have great offering for this eclipse event and I know we will seeing some really interesting images.
Sir Broose tha loose signing out for now.
Keep it real bro.

Do many families in England use the "crackers" at their Christmas dinners? All the English TV shows have them. We've been doing that in our family for years. Amazon has lots of choices. You can also buy them from Fortnum and Mason in England, for £250 and up - each.

I have never heard of or seen this before. But of course, living in Texas we always have tamales at Christmas and Thanksgiving As one of the main food items. So this is an interesting post, which I was not aware of this tradition.

Ms. VADA again with a historic addition. The silver fan she is holding is one of Carol Doda's* hand crafted fans that she used on stage at the Condor Strip Club in San Francisco. Carol was the first to dance as a topless dancer in the US and was an early user of silicon injection to expand her breast size.

The model Anita Oceane will be returning for a week long stay at my studio and she will be dancing at the Parlance Men's Club here in San Antonio, and will have the fan on stare to replicate classic 60's style top less strip dance.

* Carol Ann Doda (August 29, 1937 – November 9, 2015) was an American topless dancer based in San Francisco, California, who was active from the 1960s through the 1980s. She was the first public topless dancer in the United States.
In 1964, Doda made international news, first by dancing topless at the city's Condor Club, then by enlarging her bust from size 34 to 44 through silicone injections. Her breasts became known as Doda's "twin 44s" and "the new Twin Peaks of San Francisco".

Tim. You always seem to surprise me in a good way. These images of VADA I think are just an excellent example of capturing the young lady in a natural setting without just trying to pose for a camera. I really like her facial expressions and the way you captured just a natural setting of her just being herself. It is a whole new perspective about her and I really like these pictures you did so thank you for sharing with us.
And also, I love your descriptions about the postings you give also always informative.
That’s my story and I’m sticking with it buddy.
