Outside the frame confuses the expected. On my porch, I had a squirrel photo and the body fit nicely within the frame, the tail was trimmed out of another print and attached hanging out of the frame... a child, perhaps 4y/o, walking by and stopped and stared she was confused thinking for a while that the squirrel was real.
I imagine that this image printed and having the legs/feet outside the frame would also get a double look.
