I'm not going to create too much stuff via prompts, although I've done enough to know you have to be pretty good to get the AI to do what you envision. Yesterday my community band did a Memorial Day gig and I had my little Z50 with the 250 zoom on hand. I enjoy catching candid moments while we're in action (haha, I use that term loosely). So I'm going through 'em today and this one came up...hmmmm, maybe I can get rid of that head without going crazy spending an inordinate amount of time on a snapshot. Generative Fill to the rescue, and I did some other "eliminations" using the remove tool. Total time maybe 4-5 minutes. The result? Well, for *this* purposing anyhow, I'm stupidly happy. Before and after follow. Powerful tool!!!

Now on the tiger photo, remove the protective glass and the upright. Then add in an arm and hand reaching out to shake the paw of the tiger. That brings the reality of what AI can do. By the way, these things are already being done in Hollywood for adventure movies. I'm looking forward to trying this new feature when it comes out of Beta.

...why not try it now? Easy to download the Beta PS version. <shrug>

I travel with the Z 24-70 f4 and the 14-30 f4, rarely needing a stretch lens...but I'd pack my Z 70-200 f2.8 and feel really secure.

I own and use an Epson P800 and it's been steady-Eddie, no probs, I print enough where the ink cost is a thorn...but I believe worth the expense. The same cannot be said for my R3000, which had to have its feed mechanism replaced during Covid...been fine ever since, and it's the one that I use Ink Owl inks with. Not bad at all.

...early morning on Pacific Coast Highway at Point Magu, I spotted this gull and some of his cut-off buddies and tip-toed close. In processing I moved the rock and put an Orten Effect on the lightened surf...I know, it's an abomination. ;0)

Thanks. Now I have something to study. : )

"Just because there are different types of memory cards doesn’t mean finding the right one for you needs to be confusing."

...you are over-complicating, how many from that list do you actually use? I'm a Nikon guy and only have to deal with 3 types of cards (unless I'm shooting IR with one of my older bodies which use CF): SD (which we *all* should be familiar with through the years), XQD (which have been in the Nikon platform since, what, the D4?), and the newer CF Express cards, which are the same *shape* as an XQD, fit the slot, but are much faster to account for the bigger sensor(s). Personally these are all I've ever used as a Nikon shooter, and I learned them one at a time as I had to acquire them for newer equipment...what's so hard? <shrug>

Congrats! Look up Steve Perry on YouTube for a fresh Z8 take, also Hudson Henry.

Typically all Japanese new models are released in Asia and Europe before their release in North America, so Asia and EU folks have already had them in their hands for awhile, as well as testers/reviewers.

B&H, Adorama and all authorized dealers will receive an allotment from Nikon. Nikon will partly base that allotment on previous model sales by that dealer, but the actual number B&H, Adorama, or any authorized dealer gets is greatly influenced by supply at the time, and that changes. But NO authorized dealer goes without at least some cameras allotted in the first USA shipment. I know this from dealer owners that I have known personally for decades.

NPS folks are afforded the opportunity to get priority status at their dealer of choice. But an owner of a top dealership I know, says he wont bypass any earlier pre-orders from his other regular and loyal customers. Nikon really leaves it up to the dealer for final pecking order.

Cheers and best to you.
Typically all Japanese new models are released in ... (show quote)

...what you do, if you're NPS, is order through Nikon. The one time I did that, for the Z9, was pretty dang fast even in the midst of backorders...

It seems that Nikon is working on a Z90. Will the temptations never end?!

"A scaled-down version of the highly-anticipated Z8 camera, with a smaller form factor and a 33MP APS-C/DX sensor. Firmware (under development) has up to 15fps and 4K video capabilities, making it an ideal replacement for the D500. Dual card slots will also be included, with one supporting XQD cards and the other supporting SD cards"

...that's the one I'm *really* waiting for. And why would the temptations *ever* end? I'd think the company would need to sell product, which includes developing new products.
