I am 1/2 Italian and have spent time in Italy over the years.
The unintended consequences of the Amanda Know fiasco
is what it is doing to Italy a struggling country with great art, food and people. Thousands of students and tourist's go to Italy.
Buy products from Italy like I do. I think this legal fiasco is really hurting Italy. After 9/11 Italians took the US students in their houses and took care of them. This is the real Italy.

Their is know clear evidence of Amanda's involvement. I do believe that drugs were involved that accounts for the whole mess. A man is in jail for the murder. So if their is no clear evidence and the prosecutor was under investigation at the time
and Perugia is old world superstitious the press made her into a she devil I see the hate of US they you see all over the world.
Or call in envy. She get's a buy no one know's what happened.
Case closed by the appeal.

Hello. I have 2 Nikon D800's. It does have a cold look. And the Canons are over warm and softer. The video out of the 800 is sharp and have grown to like it. Color reading is problematic. I also like very much where Sony is going. Have the NEX-30, NEX-7,RX100 II and still have Panasonic HMC150.
It seems this is a firmware battle. Good glass is important but unless we are shooting features do we need a 30k box of them.
Work with shooter Red Epic kit. That and the Alex have become the movie maker. Love DSLR's--but for video unless you have time cumbersome. Still great still machines. I have been shooting with the tiny RX100 II. Actually like it best. NEX-7 with good lens is really low profile high quality. So what I am saying is if Nikon and Canon (good pro video overpriced) the other guys are going to take over. I do come from years of Nikons and will
always think they wanted to make the best cameras and lens.
Good luck Tom

Very thoughtful commentary. I had must first camera a pentax at 19. And in the 80's an AV production company with a bunch of Nikons. Now I am a producer who is shooting much more for a few clients and myself. With that background what is see.
An amazing amount of your people (more women) with smaller quality DSLR's in Mexico recently and everywhere. A new prosumer movement interested in the gear and acquisition of good imagery. Especially video which is what I am doing now. A crazy amount of photo's and video. Hard to predict where this will go. I have currently a Panasonic HMC150, Sony NX-30, 2 D800's with lens, 2 Sony RX100's (great small camera) and Sony NEX-7 with some lens.
This is the dance of the future who can say where we go.
Good luck thanks for thinking. Tom

I flew a small tourist plane over Hawaii about 20 year ago.
As we approached the harbor where we were attacked on Dec 7,
1941 I felt chills in my spine. We must remember the sacrifice of so many Americans. We must pass this one to our children and grandchildren.

It is interesting that most of the camera's we use are from Japanese companies. Hopefully we will learn to work
together in this world. One can only hope.

The new age of Nikon & Canon are very different from the past.
Nikon would be the go to in the past. The Canon has a warmer softer look and the Nikon a colder look right out of the box. The addition of more video in our lives (mine I am a producer)
has created a new vision for all of us. I like where Sony is going now. They are coming out with cameras for still and video at great price points. The NEX series I have the 7and 5 are great fun to use. Their video lineup is forcing Canon and even Red to reduce and rethink their cameras. It seems the trickery of firmware design is creating our vision and it can be frustrating.
The solution is better creative approach and the fundamentals of taking good shots technically. You are the camera but I must say that understanding the tech of the cameras is like going back to school. Good luck everyone. It's the driver not the car.
