Two weeks ago I purchased 2 Flashpoint Zoom Li-on X R2 TTL On-Camera Round Flash Speedlights (1 for Canon and 1 for Sony). I received a shipment from Adorama on Nov 14. but it only contained the Sony unit. I checked the shipping and it said both were shipped in 1 box which. I checked UPS and the box weighed 2.7 lbs - each unit weighs 1 lb 2oz without all the materials in it. I weighed the boxed the unit comes in excluding the shipping box and it weighed 2.5 lbs so with the shipping box it weighs more. I deduced from the weight that they only shipped 1 unit.

I called up Adorama on Monday, on 11/16 (their customer service is not open on Sundays) to report the missing unit and cancel it as it would not come in time for when I needed it. They were suppose to give me credit, but have not. They have emailed me and keep on saying that they have to check with the ware house and they need 2 more days. They told me that the credit would be issued by last night, but I still have not received the credit. Be caareful when dealing with Adorama.

My only alternative is to dispute the charge when the bill comes in.

Your issue is with Adorama - why whine to us about it??

"Experienced" photographers should be able to read the specs and choose their own appropriate camera.

Tonight is clear and I am doing some night sky photography. Its 37 degrees, so have taken the camera and filter outside for 20 minutes to allow temperature equilibration to avoid fogging. Set up the camera, took a half hour sequence of shots, no problem with fogging. Added a screw-on light pollution filter and within 10 minutes, the filter, not the camera lens, is badly fogged up on the surface facing the lens. What do you think the solution might be? The filter is the Hoya Starscape filter. It does a great job of reducing light pollution.

Obviously the filter and lens were not the same temperature.

What is the best lens to use to see the stars in the sky

You might want to post this in the Astronomical Photography Forum. That's where the astronomical photography gurus hang out:

Consider too getting just the size for your largest diameter lens. You can get step-down rings that let you use the wider diameter screw-in filter on smaller lenses ...

Step-down rings will not allow the use of larger filters on smaller diameter lenses. It is important to clarify.

I would stick with Hoya or B&W.

B&W sells filters, they don't make them.

I'm looking to acquire some neutral density filters (non graduated) and need some info/recommendations on brands.

I know B&W are excellent, but pricey. Have used Hoya filters in the past (for B&W film) with good results. I noticed ICE has a three filter set at an attractive price, but I know nothing about them. Not yet very versatile in post processing so don't need filters that introduce color casts, etc. Have read enough to decide to steer clear of variable ND filters.

Any comments pro/con or recommendations will be most welcome.

All of a sudden the camera has this system error (zoom) and nothing is working. It is a Panasonic TZ31.
I've turned it off and on several times, removed the battery, tapped on the camera, re installed the battery and I still get the same error message.
Does anyone have an idea what is wrong or what I should do?
Thanking you in advance.

What did Panasonic customer service say when you asked them?

Is your lens defective? It ought to zoom out to 70mm.

... I am having real trouble getting everything in focus when I take nature pictures with a great deal of depth. If there is any further info available on this, I would sure appreciate it.

You basically have two choices here - use small apertures or invest in a tilt/shift lens. Shift is not needed for depth of field, but unless you're talking medium or large format, I don't think anyone makes a lens with tilt function only.

Install the software on the new computer the same as you did on the old one.

We would all be happier, and the search function would work better, if more folks would follow Admin's advice to post descriptive titles.
