I like what Wendy2 suggested. "Whimsey". A great name that fits.
Gobuster, what a great find. in particular the 2 light meters.
They will certainly be of help even with digital photography.
I had the pleasure when working as a Photog with Bendix Corp of using a one of a kind made in America "Bendiflex" camera. A WWll copy of the Rollieflex. If only we could all hold on to our photo history.
In photo #1 his pants look Brown and the shadow is on the adjoining rock. In all the others his pants are Blue and the shadow is not there. ????

Don R. Hill "Image 1".

My answer is Yes. If a restaurant cloth napkin with a sketch by Picasso is worth millions, then why does it matter what a digital image is printed on. It's the image not the substrate.

Danilo is correct on monitor calibration.
One other suggestion. There is and always will be a visual difference in images viewed by Transmited light and those viewed by Reflected light. It is a case of settling for what you expect to see in your Prints.
It takes a while to adjust your mind to this difference.
Proper Monitror adjustment will really help. some mental adjustemnt wll also help.
Good Luck and Good Printing.
