I visited Scotland briefly on business, (Glasgow, Ayre), I hope to return for a vacation soon and tour at leisure. Beautiful country and people.
Has anyone had any experience shooting glass making/blowing? I am about to document an art object being created as an award for an organization's convention. My meter is being shiped off for repair, but I only have a short window to shoot this object being made by the artist. My plan is to shoot some test shots of other work being done. These pictures will be presented along with the artwork. Thanks for any advice.
Maybe brighten up the blue in the sky, it seems to have a little magenta in it? Now if there would have been more 'fluffy white' clouds in the sky to balance the vivid foreground...I really want to visit Maine someday. Looks like a beautiful state. Nice shot.
Thanks to all for sharing your expertise. It looks like you may be using an articulating arm for the flash, curious on the diffusion setup if not using a soft box (admit too big probably). How about ring lights?
How do you like Oregon? Are they still trying to keep people from moving there? I really want to visit there someday, especially eastern Oregon for some reason.

I've seen similar stone farmsteads in western Kansas, including 'post rock,' limestones that were used for fencing as there is more rocks than trees out there. What is the closest town to this house...Hesston?

I have a Minolta IV that I use to meter flash-great instrument! Sad to say it is broken, but I will get it fixed as it is a great tool.
I get tired of people who challenge me "If I've got the guts" to forward the email on...Who's scamming who here?Any time you see an email that says "forward this on to '10' (or however many) of your friends", "sign this petition", or "you'll get bad luck" or "you'll get good luck" or "you'll see something funny on your screen after you send it" or whatever --- it almost always has an email tracker program attached that tracks the cookies and emails of those folks you forward to. The host sender is getting a copy each time it gets forwarded and then is able to get lists of 'active' email addresses to use in SPAM emails or sell to other Spammers. Even when you get emails that demand you send the email on if you're not ashamed of God/Jesus --- that is email tracking,
