This photo was through my vintage Mono eyepiece Compound student microscope. It is from a 14.516-gram slice of a (possible LL3) Stony Meteorite under classification by the Meteoritical Society Nomenclature Committee for publication in the Meteoritical Bulletin.

Chondrules formed from the Big Bang and are said to be 4564.7billion years old, making them older than the earth, having arrived on Earth in meteorites.

Thanks for the outstanding photo.
Post more please

Big Bang 12+ billion plus years ago. Earth and the solar system are rather new.

This is the rearend of one of those spayers that farmers use to spray their crops. It is in the folded up position and I assume that it unfolds pneumatically or hydraulically - at least it should with all that piping.
Check out the DL.

Hello All, it's been a while since I’ve logged in and posted anything. Recently, I joined a Meteorite group and have started collecting meteorites. I was viewing the Stone and Stony Irons Chondrites through both my Nikon DSLR 7100 camera and my Kikon microscope camera from AmScope MU1003 with fixed microscope adapter FMA050 plus I have polarized light microscope. Not having made any Thin-sections, I hope to purchase a few for viewing the Chondrules of different minerals through the microscope in Polarized and Crossed Polarized Light is hypnotizing. The colors of the different minerals are indeed a work of Cosmic Art At its finest.

Also, I’ve started trying my hand at Macro photography of my meteorites, looking into a free photo stacking program like Alen Hadley CombineZP. Any comments are most welcome by those who have or are using CombineZP. This is a lot to undertake as a newbie.

Thank you for any and all your Suggestions, Art W.😁

These photos were originally taken a couple years ago, in color, and I thought they would translate well to black and white. Comments welcome.

When the rules are clearly stated there should be no ambiguity.

There is nothing ambiguous about it at all.... The answer is a rational # which can be expressed as a fraction.... Let me verbalize the equation; 8 divided by 2 times the quantity 2+2. i.e. 8/2(2+2). 8 is the numerator and 2(2+2) is the denominator. BTW, its page 6 already.... What if one was using an older HP calculator with Reverse Polish notation.... If this is all one used he/she would ASSUME this notation... Just more ASSUMPTIONS without defining the rules.

An oasis for those that are hungry, thirsty and in need of a room or fuel, this old time western saloon and grill has it all. Built in 1857, Middlegate is a former Overland Stage stop on the fabled Pony Express route through the Nevada desert. Situated on "Nevada Highway 50, the loneliest highway in America" with no other service for at least fifty miles. They are famous for their hamburgers and Saturday night prime rib, they draw huge crowds from local ranchers, miners, truckers and travelers. They also host crazy events like the Biker BBQ in winter and the Dildo Races in the summer. It is always an enjoyable stop for us returning from California just to see the relics and enjoy a cold one.

I saw this the other day and thought to myself, what a beautiful photograph it would make. Of course it is simplistic in style, just as the very first time it flew. Yet it is one of the most recognized items across the globe today. I invite others to submit their photographs of the same item for all of us to see and appreciate.

Please let this post not go to The Attic.

God Bless America!!!
