I played with the second bird as two of you suggested, using both blur and motion blur. The effect was nice, but the bird got too grainy for a 8 by 10 when I cropped it. Thanks for the suggestions.
I couldnt resist one more change, no kitchen sink!
Thanks for the coment. Really rare for me, I spent most of my life in Western WA, and as far as I know there arent any turkeys there. So this was one of the few times I even saw a wild turkey.
I tried the motion blur for the first time and liked the results. However I decided to combine all the shots into one photo for my print. This is my first attempt by using the panorama feature in PS Elements.
Thanks for your comments. I will make some changes using your ideas and using the second image. I used burst mode and have six images. I see that the first one will always look like a bad copy and paste.
Here is the next shot from the series. It shows that the feathers are white on the ends. This was the first time I ever captured a turkey in flight and I want to make a good print.
Thanks for looking at my photo. The edge fringe is not from my editing as it is in the original. It must be from the low angle of the sun as I shot it just before sunset, about 7pm. Just the first week with this camera and I uses a default setting.

from my monitors view, not buying this edit. too much edge fringe on the bird, and the color saturation is not matching up.
I caught this turkey in flight last night just before sunset, and wonder if anyone has an idea of how to make it a wall hanger. Taken with a Canon T3i in sports mode, ISO 3200, f5.6, 1/1600, and 179 mm. I removed the poles and wires with Photoshop Elements.
Doug, K7DJJ is my radio call sign.
I keep wondering where the dove is sitting. I first thought a porch rail, but the background is inside. The dove is really nice.
I really like the two birds just the way they are.
This online camera site, teaches you how ISO, shutter, and aperture affect your photos.

I took one of these in the daylight and one at last night. I see that the exposures were similar. Good luck.

I've had this pic for several years. Love the butterflies and hated the background. The background was so unmanageable (I thought) the there wasn't much I could do with it. Taken at an indoor butterfly display in San Francisco. I'll put the original too so you can see what I mean about the background. Took me forever to figure out what to replace it with but I what I did is slowly growing on me. What do you all think. Any other suggestions for a background? How's the overall look?
I like the background with hints of the original flower colors. It has a real art feel for me.
