Thanks for your thoughts. Thats the company I identified. I guess it seems cheap to quibble over $100 when i've spent $10K but I always look for value and these seem overpriced for what they are. Maybe as you suggest it comes down to small quantities so the bulk producers don't get involved. Without strong competition they can charge what they can get away with. I appreciate your input.

I never played Russian roulette with my kids health. They got all there shots and more when we travelled. They are now healthy adults with vaccinated kids of their own. I have had heaps of vaccinations to cover me when I travel along with a yearly flu shot. I don't take risks with my own health either.

I am looking to buy a camouflage cover for my Canon 400mm f2.8 mk 11. All my research to date shows up expensive pricing. The best i found so far is $US99. Does anyone know of a site where the pricing is more attractive please? I want the type where you get different small covers for the various lens segments. Thanks for your help.

Probably to late to help but I recently purchased a Domke vest to wear. It holds my 70-200 f2.8 canon l lens, my 16-35 f2.8 canon l lens plus a couple of other smaller ones if i push it. I just wear it onto the plane and carefully stow it in the overhead compartment. It can also fit my Canon 70D body but then I would just have a couple of lens in it. They look a little daggy but I don't mind. Its also great in the field for easy access to a quick change of lens.

I enjoyed a productive early morning-sunrise session at my local reserve. I had been trying to get a decent shot of The White face Heron for sometime and on this morning got lucky. I was prepared with all my settings dialled in when i found him or her so I could rapid fire when the opportunity jumped. After the session I walked back out of the bush on air. It was a great feeling

Thanks. They are amazing. I am about to post some close ups of one feeding in our garden tree. When it goes up you can see that the breast feathers are like a Cezanne painting. All I have to do now is find where i saved them. oops.

We are fortunate to live close a neighbour who feeds Lorikeets most nights. There are always a few cockatoos hanging around looking to join in as well. Most of these are sunset shots.

Its a great time in Australia to photograph our feathered friends with spring around the corner. Most are now busy building nests and singing sweet nothings to their mates. Naturally they have to dress to impress as well.

I recently spoilt myself and upgraded my set of lenses to include a 400mm F2.8. I got lucky and brought a brand new one that had never been taken out of the box at a second hand price. The next thing I did was book sessions at the gym so I could hold it. (just kidding). I've been blown away by what it can achieve but the Ibis shot was with my 70-200mm f2.8 and I a happy with that. I also must credit Arthur Morris for his helpful videos and books. His recommendations on settings have been invaluable. At present I am trying to get a perfect shot of a flying swallow but thats incredibly challenging. They are so small. I use a Canon 5D mkiii.
