BIF and normal bird shots

I recently spoilt myself and upgraded my set of lenses to include a 400mm F2.8. I got lucky and brought a brand new one that had never been taken out of the box at a second hand price. The next thing I did was book sessions at the gym so I could hold it. (just kidding). I've been blown away by what it can achieve but the Ibis shot was with my 70-200mm f2.8 and I a happy with that. I also must credit Arthur Morris for his helpful videos and books. His recommendations on settings have been invaluable. At present I am trying to get a perfect shot of a flying swallow but thats incredibly challenging. They are so small. I use a Canon 5D mkiii.

FANTASTIC BIF' shots!!!!!! Good, no GREAT going. It is so hard to get a bif shot as there doesn't ever seem to be enough time to use AF and MF almost takes Devine intervention Robin
