I can say one thing about 42nd Street Photo, called them about a year ago just pricing camera bodies. They did have the best price for the body I wanted. When asked if it were grey market there was a hesitation, said "let's put it this way" can I register it through Canon USA, she replied no. Thank you for being honest and I went further on my journey. Most Canon and Nikon cameras, lenses appear to be a "fair traded" item when purchased with a USA stamp. My go to place is Cameta, the price is the same but they do throw in some bundled stuff you may or may not need. You can swap things around with them ie: a battery grip for the tripod, another spare battery for something else etc. I visited their store on Long Island a couple years ago and made a small purchase when I was there, met a very knowledgeable employee who treated me like I was his only customer. Since that time I go no where else and have never had an issue. My Canon, Sigma and Tamron products have always registered without an issue. Find your retailer of choice, make contact, get a name, use that person through the phone or email for future purchases and in my case they will take care of you. I'm sure any Canon or Nikon product is the same at B&H, Adorama, Cameta and 42nd street. The issue comes if you need service on your item. You may never need service so 42nd Street in that case would be fine BUT if you like that warm fuzzy feeling I would stay with the other companies...Good luck on your new purchase...

I'm not a professional but reading on UHH and and speaking with my camera guru this is what I came up. Shoot a lot of sports baseball, football, volleyball etc. I'm a Canon user, I have a 5DII, T5I and purchased a 7DMarkII recently. The 7DMarkII is amazing for sports, pair that up with a 70-200mmf2.8 and you have all sports covered both indoor and outdoors. The 10 fps makes this a great sports camera. The Tamron 70-200f2.8 USM VB is a great lens. I get a lot of good snaps with this setup and am very satisfied with this purchase.

The Yongnuo YN685-C (as I shoot with Canon gear) works as good as a Canon Speedlite at a lot less cost and I'm sure a lot less than a Nikon flash. The YN685's have a built in receiver (no transmitter) so that saves you if you're using it off camera. That paired with a YN622-TX attached to your camera can run up to 3 flashes all able to be set to different settings. I own 2 YN685's and the Flash controller the total cost was under $250.00. The total cost less than a Canon Speedlite flash. I'm not a professional but I am very happy with the results I get with this setup.

The 685's to me were a great purchase along with the YN622C-TX. Bit of a learning curve but once you master it they work great for a budget flash. Have a couple older Canon Speed lights and these work just as well if not better. The A B C setting you can adjust each flash. It might take time but read the manual and catch some of the You Tube videos. I found the You Tube videos much help in setting them up. I have a Canon 7D MarkII I use them with and they work great.

Yesterday I received the same deal. Popular Science or a few other magazines that don't interest me. Just renewed a few months ago for 2 years for Popular Photography. Well the only ones I get
is Shutterbug and Outdoor Photography ...I'll be canceling Pop Science as it's 10 pages of reading and 20 pages of nonsense ads.

I agree with PeterDragon Cameta is a great place to buy new and used cameras and lenses. Recently purchased a Tamron lens 70-200m f2.8 Di VC USD
from them that was marked as mint...It was and came with a 30 day no question asked return and a year warranty. Their inventory on Nikon gear is amazing, new and used. I shoot Canon and have to call for any gear I need but they have always come through for me. Their customer service and knowledge is awesome...B&H and others I have done business with are good, Cameta just has the edge in my opinion.

I like Cameta Camera. Have purchased 2 camera bodies and 2 lenses from them. Prices on Canon and Nikon (USA) gear appears to be fair traded. Their service, support and knowledge is excellent...Bought a used Tamron lens from them that was stated by them as MINT. I could not tell the difference between that a a new lens. Lens came with a 30 day no questions asked return if I didn't like it plus a 6 month warranty should anything go wrong. Cameta is my go to place for all my camera gear. Enzo is my go to guy there...They sell no gray market gear to my knowledge...Believe me I have registered everything with Canon, Sigma and Tamron and all was good...If you're ever in the NYC area stop on Long Island to check them out, that's how I got started with them while in New York City catching a Yankees, Mets series...

Go with the 7D MarkII...It's a great Camera. The auto focus works fine. Love mine. I have a Sigma 24-70mm f2.8,Tamrom70-200mm f2.8 with VC , Canon 18-135mm, canon nifty 50, and a couple of kit lenses 55-250mm, and a 18-55mm,from previous cameras. . They all work well with this camera. Have to say my favorite lens is the 70-200 and the 24-70. Good Luck....

I recently tried three 70-200mm f2.8 lenses on my 7D MarkII. Canon, Tamron and Sigma. I bought the Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD. In my opinion this lens produced the best results and was in the middle price range. The Canon appeared to be the best build as it has a metal body, Tamron and Sigma plastic. Next was the price Canon was $1949.00, Tamron was $1499.00 and the Sigma $1299.00. If I were a professional photographer the Canon would probably be my choice . Before purchasing I like to try lenses as it is an investment. Today you can purchase the Tamron from B&H for $1099.00. Tamron came out with the G2 (think it's around $1299.00) and is now discounting ($400.00) off the Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD. Could not justify spending the extra $$$ as I only use my camera a couple times a week. All 3 are great lenses...

I have a Sigma 24-70 F2.8 IF EX DG lens. It's my favorite walk around lens and the price was reasonable compared to others. Use it on my 7dII.

I'm using a yn568exII with my 7DII and it works with no issue. Agree Eneloop batteries are the best, both Sanyo and Panasonic.

Welcome..That's a question many of us would liked answered by the pros. If you're just starting get a Canon or Nikon starter DSLR. Learn it, max it out and then move on. Put money into better glass and learn that. If you have unlimited money get a 5DMarkIV Body...Hell for $3500.00 you'll have the best, NOW learn it. Talk to us in 10 years and 6 lenses down the road...This has to be an April Fools joke a month early!!!
