Welcome to UHH! I'm relatively new here too, so I don't post much more than comments on other's photo posts because I have to find (somewhere) a photo or two of mine that's at least nearly as good as the ones I've seen here. Intimidation is a bad thing or a good thing, depending on how you look at it.

Thank you and welcome.

Never mind, I had already downloaded them. Not sure of the version but I subscribe CC so I would hope I have the latest version. Thank you,

New to Lightroom. When I go to import files it sees my NEF files but will not allow me to download. Do I have my D500 setting wrong? I can download JPEG...

I'm wanting to purchase a telephotolens for my NikonD810. I have rented the Nikon 200-500, Tamron 150-600, and Signa 150-600. I shoot Eagles Mainly. Any recommendations?

I use the Nikon 80-400mm. Purchased a refurb from here:

Copy that. Beginner in many ways but have pretty good gear. Would like a wide angle lens and thinking about witch one. Later few years from now I'll get a full frame.

This site is my favorite forum on DSLR cameras and photography. Very interesting and informative.

I live in Longwood Florida. Owned Nikon's since the FE. Currently have the Nikon D500, 35mm, 18-55, 18-200 and 80-400mm.

Use the 35 and 18-200 the most. Hike the wetlands taking pics of gators birds and wildlife. Next week going to Death Valley and Yosemite then in June first Safari to S Africa.

Thanks for all the good posts.

Probably the Nikon 200-500 with the D500. I use the 80-400mm and like it. Plan to purchase the 1.4 teleconverter next.

Have you thought of upgrading your camera to the D500? Or a D750?

For travel I purchased the Manfrotto BeFree. Packs up well. The BeFree Live is a step up with a fluid head which is not what I bought ... hapoy with my BF. My next tripod will be a Gitzo with a Gimbp (so?) head. But that purchasing date is a long time from now.

It's my favorite lens. Great for indoors but outdoors as well. I have a few other lenses. 18-55, 18-200, 80-400mm. Keep up the good work.

It would be great to find a reasonable refurb D7200 for $600.00. Don't know about lens prices, as they can vary a lot.

From my own personal experience, and if I had to choose between Rockwell and Thom Hogan about "things Nikon", then it'd be Hogan every day !

By the way ...... jccash ...... if you use the "Quote Reply" box at the bottom of every post, and especially when responding to a specific post, it really makes it so much easier for all to follow the direction you're headed.

Right on. Thanks for the tip.
