I'm wanting to purchase a telephotolens for my NikonD810. I have rented the Nikon 200-500, Tamron 150-600, and Signa 150-600. I shoot Eagles Mainly. Any recommendations?

Since you have used the 3 lenses mentioned, you ought to know which one you like best. Or are you asking about other lenses?

Just trying to see out of the three listed, what others use. Yes, I know which one I like the best, is it the best for Eagles. I like the Nikon

I use the 200-500mm, I haven't tried the others.

The 200-500 Nikkor would be my choice as well. I just didn't understand why you would care what others use. There are many members who seem incapable of thinking for themselves, good to see you are not one of them!

I have the Sigma 150-600 Sport. Great lens but not for hand holding.

I use the 200-500 after owning a 150-500 Sig and an 80-400 Nikon. The Tamron 150-600 G2 interests me and I have heard good things from people I respect, but no matter how much longer I go I will always think about going longer due to my birding aspirations...

I'd suggest a Nikon D500 coupled with the Nikon 200-500. You'll have speed, 10fps, and with the 1.5 crop factor you will have just about what you need for eagles. The D500 allows for an increased ISO close to that of the Nikon D5.

You claim you shoot eagles mainly. The Nikon 200-500mm and the Tamron 150-600mm will take care of that. For general use, you may want to look at the Nikon 28-300mm.

I don't think you should ever put in writing you "shoot eagles"! Best to use the word "photograph".

Probably the Nikon 200-500 with the D500. I use the 80-400mm and like it. Plan to purchase the 1.4 teleconverter next.

I wouldn't recommend the Nikon 28-300. The two I had were very soft.
