I like it. Fun image idea.
Enjoyed them all, but loved the way you presented The Alamo, excluding the unnecessary elements.
Very creative idea and well presented.
I enjoy this task of editing an image which isn't mine, since no emotional attachment as Frank has already mentioned. I also enjoy seeing the different ideas each of us might have, given the same image in front of us. If I win, I'm up a creek so to speak, as I don't photograph a lot of landscapes, and I thought that landscapes offered the most variations of processing. My general processing tends more towards ethereal and high key, but I want to keep my processing skills current, so I work hard at the MIYV submissions. I try to submit each week, but that doesn't always work time wise.
I'm happy going along with whatever guidelines and/or types of images submitted as the group may decide. I will try harder to submit each week and hope this weekly topic continues. Bev
I love simplistic high key images which yours is. I also enjoy the feeling of solitude and quietness especially with snow in an image. I agree with Kathy though, about removing telephone poles. The telephone pole immediately brings me back to the hectic daily demands on my time.
From viewing your images over the last couple years, I know you present your compositions with a specific thought/feeling in mind which I enjoy, as you do in the above image. Your compositions have helped expanded my appreciation of many different compositions, so I know you wanted the sense of place by leaving in the telephone pole.
Given the same scene in front of me, I probably would have just taken it in a different direction by not including (or removing) the pole. Not better, just different. I do love the snow, and hills going off into nothingness in the fog.
Interesting complimentary color effect, it's very eye catching.
Enjoyed your ethereal processing.
Wonderful peak action shots.
Wonderful compositing. Also enjoyed your color palette.
Great textures in all of the images.
Love those tiny paws. Anyone want to shake?
When I first opened up this abstract, I thought patriotic with the red/white/blue colors. When I looked further into it, I saw the clouds top and bottom, with the with water, and then the skylines sort of sandwiched in between. A very interesting abstract of the earth. I enjoyed it.
