The Olympus E-5 and E-3 are both water resistant.
I don't believe any DSLR is water proof.

I like your shot but think maybe a bit bland, maybe it needs to be a bit more dramatic.
I rotated a little, changed color tone a bit, boosted contrast and darkened. Also sharpened to give more texture to wire.
Thank you very much! You have certainly made it more dramatic! Are you using Photoshop?
I am using an old version of Photoshop (version 6). I usually do very little pp except for the basics, contrast, saturation, BW or sepia conversion and of course, cropping.

Was this taken with a digital camera or did you scan a hard copy?
And finally . . . . .
who among us hasn't met someone so full of themselves they think they walk on water
While others are simply looking for a hand out
personally I don't care, but there was a huge tirade about a month ago regarding these type of photos.
If you read the Rules regarding posting photos, you will see:
No nudity, gore, or other adult content. This is a family-safe site. So we can't host any nudity or semi-nudity here.
Just a heads up, expect to hear from others.
Agree with the others regarding the Watermark being a distraction, believe me if someone really wants to steal your photo there's plenty of software out there that will easily remove your watermark.
Regan25, don't know how severe your RA is but something else you may need to consider is the weight of the camera, especially if you're used to handling P&S.
Olympus has their PEN series of camera, slightly larger than P&S but with DSLR photo quality, Panasonic and now Nikon have their versions as well. But I definitely agree with the others here, go used or refurbished. Just don't let sales person talk you into a camera that isn't comfortable in your hands.
I was actually hoping to sell my E-520 this year so I could upgrade but certain unexpected expenses put an end to that dream.
Best of luck, I'm sure you'll be able to find what you're looking for at a price you can afford.
I have tried several times to get a decent shot of the bison at a local preserve and am never happy with the results.
Now, after looking at your photo, I think I know why. It's the background. The bison is so much darker and more focused than the surrounding area, it really helps draw and keep our attention to the main subject. Good job here and a good lesson for me. I think I'll try again after it's snows, open up the aperture and see what I can get.
btw, have you thought about converting this to B&W or better yet sepia, give it that old time look.

These are from a car show earlier this year, all are HDRs the last one is mine.
modeladay, love the images you posted here, hard to go wrong with cars like these. I never would have suspected these were HDR. It's refreshing to see someone use HDR without turning their photo into a cartoon.
btw, I love your car, love the rumble seat.
Cars used to have such style, what the Heck happened.

Sorry Mike but these shots make me want to cry.
And to think, I was so happy today to see Gas price drop to $3.25
Some of you may not be convinced that human frailties have been passed on to the bird world.
Here's some additional proof . . . . .

Promiscuity
Rudeness
Thank you tilde531 and TraceyG for such nice comments.
