Dear ORpilot...It does have a T-mount and I just bought one from Amazon for $10.31. Thanks for taking the time to share. Shooter41

How does one "correctly identify" a T-mount, M-42 or a M-39?

Interesting discussion. Sounds to me like you may think the law should be modified to please everyone . . . if that is possible. I was in Wedding photography business for 17 years. I used the copyright law with the stamp on back to protect my right to sell photos taken by me. I'm sure there are several answers to this potential problem . . . and i'm not sure that there is an answer.

I gave up on ink photo printers - tried them all - Canon, Epson, HP, Brother, and Kodak - they're all either high maintenance and high cost or just plain garbage. I don't print enough anymore to justify a color laser so I have all my work printed by print shops and save the headaches - plus, the options they offer are awesome - I have not been disappointed yet...

Sounds a lot like my experience. I too gave up on ink jet printing. I have successfully used a Brother laser printer (paid $50. bucks a few years ago on sale and it runs flawlessly and cheap) and I send my color work to the lab. Only thing I miss is no copying available.

I took pictures of a parade yesterday using a small Sony WX9 camera, which I could carry in a belt case. It has no viewfinder, and I don't like holding it in front of me to frame a shot that I can't see in bright sun. Everyone else was taking pictures with cell phones. Anyway, I imagined this conversation.

Little boy: "Hey, mister, what's that thing you're holding up?"
Me: That's a camera."
Little boy: With a puzzled look - "Can it make phone calls?"

I took pictures of a parade yesterday using a smal... (show quote)

Jerry . . . take another look at Canon Supershot a1200, a1300 or a1400 (basically the same except for yearly updates). Yeah . . . it's got minuses . . . but it has a viewfinder . . . can easily carry it in your polo shirt pocket . . . and you should be able to find one for around $100. bucks.

My question is....."Why should I pour all that money into mirrorless when I can shoot in live view with any of my three Nikon DSLRs? Just this last week I had my D780 with and purposely took images using live view. At the same time have been doing some video testing with it as well.

My 2 reasons would be size and weight especially if you travel a lot. Also some of the smaller mirrorless bodies will accept most of the larger lenses made primarily for the SLR's.

I think a password manager program would be beneficial for me. Your recommendations for an easy, free password manager program would be welcome. Thanks.

I happen to have a Epson Perfection V600 photo scanner that seems to be hardly used. It was inherited from a friend that passed away years ago. I have never used it as I do not know how. There are no instructions that came with it. Does anyone know if there was ever a instruction manual that came with this scanner. I would like to give it a shot at trying it.

Two are especially good: the mind like a browser with too many tabs open; those unopenable bags in Produce. The trick is to lick your fingers, but you have to do that while no one's looking. Then, after you put something inside, it rips. I use one bag inside the other, but only if I have enough time in my day to open two of those stupid bags.

Not to mention the prescription pill containers that for me are unopenable. My arthritic hands make it often impossible to do.

I would love to forward this . . . if someone would instruct me as to how to forward anything that does not have a forward box in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.

Do you know if they have to carry Collision insurance, Jerry?

An interesting sidelight story: In Paris there is a roundabout for cars in a high traffic area that is unmarked with signs and has no speed limit. Apparently the Paris traffic division has ruled that any car in this roundabout that has a collision accident must pay for the repair costs on a 50/50 basis with no fault applied. I saw this on a video of U-tube so I cannot authenticate it's accuracy.

Making no judgement but I'd like to suggest something to keep in mind. Personally I do not do any more business with Chinese sourced products than necessary. I have nothing against the the Chinese people but their tyranical political system derives it's power from the strength of the economy which has clearly engaged in economic conflic with our own system.

A very good point and I agree.

I’ll pay more and by stuff made some where else. I know I might by from someone else and it could still be coming from China. It’s just don’t. Want to support them anymore than I have to.

Thanks for all the well meaning responses. Some good advice there that I will take.

Recently I learned of a company that operates out of China that seems to be patterned somewhat after Amazon called TEMU. They have a wide range of photographic accessories that seems to be very low priced. They also sell many other things liked clothing, electronics, etc. Has anyone had any experience buying from them?
