I just love photographing smoke and produced a single shot which reminded me of a womans leg with a garter so I created this image straight out of Moulin Rouge and called it showgirls, Hope you like?

With flowers like these, can Spring be very far away? With the exception of the bottle brush, I have no idea what these are. I only know I liked them.

Nice set.

I found this in a small Camellia tree near my front door. A hummingbird flitted away when I walked outside and I figured there might be a nest. Sure enough.....!!!

This was hard to photograph. Had to hold my heavy lens and camera in one had and try to focus as I was using my other hand to pull the branch down so I could see into the nest. I was very, very careful not to disturb the nest or let the eggs fall out.

Nice one, look forwards to seeing the babies.

OK, these are not the best photos but I have discovered three nests that certainly have eggs. Now the waiting begins. If they hatch--I'll certainly have photos of the chicks.
Thanks for looking

Very good pictures. Shame about the chicks that got snatched.

We were in Yosemite a couple weekends ago with temperatures in the low 70's during the day but dipping down to the high 30's during the night. We found someone climbing up the face of El Capitan on Saturday and Sunday. I shot these 3 on Saturday afternoon. This person was about half way up. On Sunday, he was still a ways from the top.

The first shot is a close up taken with my Canon 100-400 from about 1/4 of a mile or so away then cropped. The next 2 shots I backed off to give you the magnitude of this chunk of granite. The last shot represents about 60% of the total size, you can barely see him. Download and zoom in to see further detail. There is a bag of equipment hanging below him too.

I took a little stroll around Gorman Nature Preserve in Mansfield Ohio. As I approached a small pond, I saw this beaver in the water. I am 70 years old, been an avid outdoors man most of my life, and this is the first live beaver I have ever seen. I was able to squeeze off this shot before it went under water, and to his hut, which was not far off.

Great shot.

These were shot on our last of 20 drives. This was a cheetah mom with two adolescent cubs (could not tell gender.) I'm glad I caught a good termite mound. They are everywhere on the savannah.

I particularly like the way the profile pic of Mom shows how her "paint job" blends.

Just 50 minutes after the last shot here, we discovered my leopard No2. from an earlier thread.

Great pictures, love no 2 and 3

These photos are from inside the 16th Street Baptist church in Birmingham, Al. This is the church that was bombed in 1963 killing 4 young girls. The glass inside this church is incredible. A definite place to visit if your ever in Birmingham.

Very good, the colors have come out great.

Light was a bit harsh...did what I could...the first four shots were taken at a distance of 35-40 yards and the final two were at about 80 yards...all heavily cropped.

Same bird...first four shots were taken in some brush growing in the lade...he then flew further into the lake where the final two were taken....the final two have a bit of vignetting to tone down the light...enjoy...

OMD-EM5 with the 70-300mm lens...

Great shots.
