You don't need a "machine" to cut mats. Why, back in the "old" days, you cut mats with a sharp utility knife and a steel straight edge, on a wood surface!

How many cameras do you own, what models, and why do you need that many?

You ever hear of "collectors"? Coins, stamps, cars, watches, cameras, etc etc. You collect things to admire them, appreciate how things were made "once upon a time", and, EVEN USE THEM.

I have 30 cameras ranging from earl 70's film to late model digital. So what? You do whatever you want.

You are correct. Compact Disks and Digital Video Disks.
Most people simply refer to them CDs, compact disks, or DVDs instead of just "disks" to differentiate between floppies, but some of us get technical.

Don't know what you mean by "most", but oh well, never mind.

Interesting. I know no one who calls a CD a disk (Even though that's the shape).

???? Last I knew, the"D" in CD and second "D" in DVD stands for
"disk". They are both called "Optical disks".

That was what the OP wanted to use the PI for. He wanted a portable.

Your comment means nothing at all. IT IS OBVIOUS THE OP WANTED TO USE A PI AS A PORTABLE!!!

THE QUESTION IS....HOW?

The Raspberry Pi is a very small computer but doesn't have keyboard, display or mouse so how do you make a portable system using it?

Nor does it have a power supply internally.

How do you think a Raspberry Pi is a portable computer? An external keyboard, display and power supply doesn't make it "portable".

DOS is alive and well regardless of any rumors that are out there.
Get to a command prompt and type, \\Format c:/u/mbr/, you will have a brand new machine.
You can now load and configure any SW you like.

Have him go through the pain of setting it back up, he won't forget it again.

So, HOW DO YOU GET TO THE COMMAND PROMPT IF YOU CAN"T LOGIN TO WINDOWS????

And what do you mean by your suggestion for getting a brand-new machine? Not that I really care, because you sound like a fool.

If the machine is new it is running Windows 10. DOS died at least 20 years ago.

DOS is always in the background and can be brought up if you know the command, then the old DOS formats still work.

It's not DOS in the background that you are talking about. Windows ceased to have DOS as it base long ago.

You are talking about the Command Prompt. And it is not available if you can't login to Windows.

There is a reset switch on the mother board.

You are confused. Besides not knowing if the computer in question is a desktop or a laptop:

DESKTOP (not laptop) computer motherboards have had reset switches or jumpers that reset the BIOS password, which controls powering-on and/or making BIOS changes. This has nothing to do with Windows if the Windows password is forgotten, so would be of no help.

And laptop computers no longer even have that anymore, because a stolen laptop could have its BIOS security removed so the thief could use/sell the laptop. Replacing the motherboard is how you fix a laptop with a locked BIOS.

When Windows 10 is installed fresh on a computer, it requires you to provide answers to three security questions. This is encrypted and stored on the hard drive. If you forget your password, Windows will ask you one of the security questions. If you answer correctly, you can then login, and reset your password in your User Account.

If you pay attention to the fake news media that’s what you get.

As Trump stated, it is hopeful but not fully tested for this application. But it is already approved for other uses which greatly reduces test time because safety is known.

Try reading above.

Or not. Each is welcome to choose to die.

You are exceedingly stupid. Trump is saying so much bulls--t that is untrue, his dreams, etc that he should be ignored, as has been suggested by responsible people in the media. There are KNOWLEDGEABLE people trying to get important information to the public. Trump is confusing the issues.

The biggest FAKE news we have to deal with is coming from Trump's mouth.

"Approved for other uses" is worthless unless a drug is TESTED for the desired effects.

If you think Trump is being helpful and responsible, you should have your voting privileges revoked come November.

I gave my grandson a new computer a couple of months ago. He hasn't used it lately and has forgotten the password to get on. I know the password is located in DOS somewhere but I need someone to walk me through getting there. When the computer is off and you first turn it on, I know you hit some key like f11 constantly until DOS comes up -- it has been so long since I did something like this I'm lost as to how to locate the password.
Thanks in advance to my knowledgeable friends!

You are lost with the DOS-F11-stuff.

If grandson hasn't been using the computer, and has nothing on it he needs to save, wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows. In other words, START OVER from a clean slate. And this time, set up TWO user accounts. His, and one for YOU, with admin access. Then you can login and manipulate things, like retrieving future data he needs.

If there is currently data on the machine that he needs, take the hard drive out and connect it to another computer via USB dock or an external drive enclosure. Then you can read his hard drive to your heart's content, retrieve data, then wipe it, put it back into his computer and install fresh Windows.

Just as CNN created 24/7 coverage of the Iraq War and scrounged up anything they could to fill the airtime, they're having to do it with Coronavirus.

Change the channel.

WRONG!

The tax forms must be turned in by April 15, BUT payment of tax due is delayed interest free until July 15. My accountant said yesterday to me that their IRS guidance is that tax forms must be filed by April 15.

WRONG!
The FILING deadline has been extended to July 15th. My state, NY, has followed suit.

Much ado about nothing. As per the current media, there aren't ANY existing drugs that have sufficiently tested as safe and effective for the Coronavirus.
The Chinese or any one else in the world are EXPERIMENTING with antimalarials and other things, but NOTHING to run with yet.

Roberts/Used PP is a good outfit, as are the others mentioned.
But don't get your expectations too high. The stuff you have may or may not be worth enough to a dealer for them to make an offer. They have to RESELL what they buy, for a profit.
