Reputable company to deal with?

Hi All,
I have a large collection of Nikon lenses, Point-n-Shoot Cameras and Camera bodies plus an unbelievable amount of other accessories, High-End filters and more. They came from a good friend that passed about a year ago. I have been able to sell some of it but my current audience has purchased all they seem to want.
This is not a commitment but I wanted some feedback about this company regarding reliability and paying a fair/reasonable price.

Don't know about him, but you might look at KEH or Adorama. I've done business with Adorama, and was impressed with their customer service, and have some items to sell, and am considering going through them.

I’ve done business with Roberts, as have other UHHers. They’re very good, honest, and have fast shipping.

Very reputable. Bought numerous items from them. Just got a lens hood I've been looking for. Also planned to buy a lens from them today but, with the uncertainty of income at the moment, that's on hold.

Robert’s has been a great organization to deal with, going back to 1979 when I purchased my first SLR from them.

Thank you for your rapid reply. I will look at KEH. I was just raped soundly by Adorama and would never buy or sell to them again. The story is too long to get into and I do not want to relive it again. Again thanks for your help.

I have tremendous respect for Roberts. Don't expect them to pay more than a percentage of what was paid for the equipment originally. If you don't get a quote for as much as you hoped. that will probably occur with any of the better stores discussed online in posts here that are preferred buyers/sellers.
Selling here to UHH members will probably get a better return. It takes a little effort but may be worth its.
I recently sold some equipment for the wife of a friend that had passed away. I was able to sell it for about double the price I could by selling to one of the reputable camera stores, but it took time and effort, which I was pleased to do to help a friend.

Roberts camera is very honest and reputable. I have been in the store many times and they feel like family. No hesitations to deal with them. Good and honest people.

Just temper your expectations.
Remember, these stores need to make a living by reselling the gear they buy, don't expect the same price quote from the stores as you may have received by selling privately.
All the stores provide an "On line quote". If you are honest regarding the description, you can price shop.
Then look at Ebay for the same eq. and see what the market is willing to pay. Don't be shocked by the difference.

I have dealt with Roberts for their used gear and found them to be very trustworthy and fair. Perhaps not the highest prices for buying equipment from you but totally trustworthy.

Robert's/Used Photo, if that is who you are asking I, is, IMHO, every bit as good as KEH, B&H etc. Have dealt with them all. You may want to submit for a quote to 2 or 3. Sometimes one will pay a little better on a particular lens or camera.
