Kitt peak observatory. Lots of big telescopes
My 7year old grandson is using my old canon xti. He loves it. He does not complain about the weight. We were at the zoo and he had it round his neck for a couple of hours. The only thing is that it slows us down waiting on him getting his pictures
did you get the camera software with the camera.
I have an xti and the current version of the utility download software does not work. I also have a 70D and all of the software is up to date.
I asked canon and they said it is no longer supported. to fix it I would need to be running windows version from 10 years ago and whatever version of the utility I had with the camera. they did not reply to DPP can edit cr2 files from both cameras.
they also suggested buying a card reader and taking the card out of the camera every time I needed to move pictures to the computer.
I am posting this because the xti is working fine but canon is not. Just a word of warning when purchasing older cameras
why not get some software that mimics the old film. silver efex or exposure x3
thanks. I will do that. I had visions of the future with multiple versions of dpp because I had bought a new camera
I had problems a few years ago and canon said the problem was DPP versions. it seems CR2 is different for different cameras. version 3 will open cr2 from my old XTI and from my 70D. Version 4 will not open CR2 from the XTI.
clitheroe is not in the NW of Great Britain. May be in the NW of England. I know it is a small point but geographical accuracy would help people find the tow.
There are Canon users that swear by Canon
There are Nikon users that swear by Nikon
There are Pentax users that swear by Pentax.
Whatever the amount you want to spend there is little difference between each brand.
