I still have my sx40 and I am going to run a side by side test with it and the sx60. Will post what I find. The ship was about a mile away. I think that a series like I posted might require a lens change on an SLR. So far I am very Happy with the 60, have gotten 10 or so very fine photos. I work in photo at Walmart (at 85) and sell cameras but we have no bridge cameras.

consider the canon sx60, a 65x bridge camera, I had a 5, then 10 then 40, now have the sx60. Has wifi for remote control, and full out 1365 mm, full in 21 mm. with electronic zoom to over 5000 35mme. And it has a view finder.

at 85 I work as a photo associate at a walmart.

Walmart will not print. They sign the policy page each month. No nudes, drug activity pictures etc, also no copyright pictures with out a release.

She was under motor but there is no restriction as to having sail up. We get lots of good boat pics when there is an OpSail some place on the east coast. The Pride of Baltimore, The Gazella, The Mystic Whaler and many more. We are in the Elk River Basin.

The first one is shot at a 900 35mme, the second at a 2900 35mme, hard to do with a SLR, unless you have 2.

well done. I have 3 in the maryland DNR calendar competition. about 1000 photos, they pick 14, hope my luck is as good as your skill.

Taken at the VA facility at Perryville MD. first saw it standing up and by the time I parked it was down, took about 10 shots, but only one with the head turned. about 75 feet away. Just after the last shot the base cops told me I could not take pics on federal land, but I could keep what I had.

as a realtor you need one camera to tote around, not a bunch of lenses etc. For years I used a canon sx bridge. Sx60is now . It will do all you need to do to make a good showing. It is point and shoot, and over 90 % percent of what you need can be done that way, but it also has full control should you need that. 21mm wide angle to 1365mm before electronic zoom, out to 5460 electronic ( you can take a very usable picture from a mile away) There are some very good bridge cams other than Canon. You are spending under 400$.
